APS-C? Can't beat this lens for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome little lens. Tack Sharp stopped down a bit, but not bad wide open either. My only complaints are in reference to build quality and the lack of a manual override on the autofocus. But, for under $200, it is only slightly more expensive than the venerable 50mm f/1.8 AF-D and you get a full AF-S.

Only One Problem

I do have one problem that may not be common since I haven't seen anyone else complain. The lens hood does not stay securely attached. Luckily, I check it routinely since I first discovered this, but during use, sometimes the hood is barely hanging on.

Wouldn't buy
