I was able to get the pictures that I was wanting when I first bought the 3200. I knew I needed the 55-300 lens when I bought the camera. I was going to get the non VR lens at the time but the sales associate explained the differences to me and I waited until I could afford the VR. I'm glad he explained the difference to me and that I waited. If you're thinking about getting this lens, do it you won't regret it.

Purchased this lenses to take on a cruise to Bermuda. The additional distance gave us great photos. Focused so easily my 13 year old granddaughter took fantastic photos as well.

This lens was included in the bundle purchase I made with the camera, another lens, a case and a memory card. I used it for the first time the other day at my son's Christmas performance. With the whole school performing it was hard to pick him out of the crowd. But using the zoom on this lens allowed me to find him easily and get some great shots. After never owning a camera like this where you have the detachable lenses I think, in fact I know that I made an awesome choice and and I am extremely happy and ecstatic with the purchase I made.

For the price of this lens it is a good deal. I was concerned whether the f4.5-5.6 would work for me. It did perfectly for my holiday.

You can easily get pictures from far distances. This lens is nice if you like to take picture of wildlife since you can be very far away and still zoom in close enough to get a high quality shot.

The Nikon 55-300 has been a great addition to my set of lenses for my Nikon D5300 base. I've used it for taking pictures of my son's baseball games, and used it capture landscapes in Singapore. It is extremely versatile.

Great quality photos. Focus is very crisp and my photos always turn out beautiful. I mainly use the manual focus feature. Easy to change out on camera just like other Nikon lenses.

Great lens at a good price. It reaches out nicely and takes good quality pictures. Nikon offers more expensive telephoto lenses but this one is hard to beat for the price.

Definitely worth spending the extra money for this lens instead of the 200 mm. Quality is fantastic and the zoom is great. Definitely a better fit than the smaller lens.
