Great lens, used it a lot on my last trip. I purchased this one because it had the VR and I wasn't disappointed. Pictures turned out great.

I love this lens and am too happy to add it to my camera family. I can’t wait to go camping and hiking!

This lens was bought so as to capture photos of birds. However, not wanting to spend thousands of dollars on the equipment, we went with this lens. It provides the magnification that we need with the fast shutter speed of the camera. Action shots are still difficult to capture, but we're still learning how to use it so this may come in time. Would recommend.

got carried away for some time for 70-300. but at last decided 55-300 and believe me, i dont regret.

I love this lens. I am new to photography and got this to take pictures of some of my favorite athletes. It is best used with alot of light. I have captured a lot of good baseball photos so far and I can't wait to use it during hockey season.

I love the camera and the lense is a great component, easy to use and great quality. My only problem is that I think that Nikon products are too expensive.

This was the perfect match for my nikon 5200, great pics and i´ts a super zoom lens. recomended

This is a greats lens for someone just getting into the hobby who needs to flesh out a basic kit.

It is good product. but I don't use it yet. I think it will be nice for photo for long distance.

I had a 55-200 mm lens and this is a 55-300mm lens. It is hard to believe but that additional 100mm makes all the difference in the world. It seems like the viewing distance is tripled. Seeing so much further allows for better spotting which allows for more and better pictures. I use my camera primarily for birding a scenery so distance is critical. Titis lens is great

Very crisp picture with this lens. Perfect for wildlife photography with it's range! Easy to mount on to camera quickly. Overall great lens!

This lens helped me to get candid shots of my family as they hate to "pose" for photos. Also helped me to get beautiful shots of hot air balloons that I happened to catch as they "flew" over our property. I even caught one of the balloon operators waving at me from inside the basket. I waved back. It's like a telescope that takes a picture. Great experiences & great photos with these camera lenses.

I wanted to upgrade to the 300 for some time. . . .now I wish I hadn't waited so long. What fantastic shots (from the very first one I took) and what a difference! I was getting ready for an Alaskan vacation and knew I needed a better lens than the one I had. SO glad I made the purchase in time for the trip. The # 1 comment I've received when people look at the photos is "I can't believe how close you were to the animals" - now I'm brave but not that brave!! The close up shots are due to the 300 - you can't go wrong with this one!!

I have been wanting this lens for several years but couldn't afford it, but when Best Buy's met an online competitor I was over joyed and bought it on the spot. I love Best Buy!

THIS IS GOOD LENS FOR AVAILABLE LIGHTING CONDTIONS. FOR LOW LIGHT PREFER A FASTER LENS.

Adding this lens to my first camera purchase bundle was the best idea. love the extra distance in the lens. easy to use

I bought 55-300mm as a lens to carry around. The lens overall is good and delivers great bokeh if you zoom in. However, I had big problems as I was not able to squeeze anything in 55mm zoom! it is just really small! I returned 55-300mm and now I am using my old 18-105mm which is not super telephoto lens but is wide enough. I would recommend this lens only if you have lots of money and you want to have it just for the sake of it.
