Get it on sale when you by with the camera

Best buy is usually pretty good with camera/lens sales, so make sure you wait for them. You probably won't be waiting long. It's a solid lens and well worth the purchase. The focusing at high magnification is pretty awesome. I have this and the kit lens (18-55mm) And together they are more than enough for me.
