Haven't had the chance to really play around with it yet but from the shots i took with it.......they came out great!!

This lens was a "must-have" when I bought my Nikon D3100. And I absolutely love having this lens.

This is what I expected from nikon. Best Buy matched the best price I could find. Very happy with this purchase.

I am not regular user though I do take photos at least 1-2 times a month using this lense. It's working as expected upto the standard of nikon. My earlier lense 18-105mm never user to do autofocus as fast like this lense. May be I am unaware of how to do this. But with 55-300mm lense it's very smooth. I liked this lense.

The lens is great for someone who wants to take a lot of pictures and have them as close ups

Overall the lens is adequate, especially for the price I paid. However, it seems that a smaller telephoto lens I have produces a much more defined finished product.

This lens makes for great up close photos. With the auto-focus it's easy to use.

Works great for distant animal shots. I use it in Yellowstone all the time and I love the auto focus

We have had 2 of these lenses, and in all fairness maybe they were salvaged off of a tractor trailor wreck, however we have the same issue on both... Cannot get the camera to focus on our D7000 camera, our packaged lens takes amazing pictures and the D7000 is an amazing camera but this 300mm lens cannot even compete with our Minolta 5D with a 300mm lens. I am going to go back to the store and get the 70-300mm lens (pay the extra money for an actual quality product). Our trial was taking Bald Eagle pictures at the Clark bridge bird sanctuary in West Alton Mo and our much older camera has FAR better pictures and that cannot be normal, I believe that the Lens is at fault.

This lens is wonderful,.... great for a beginner to get the little extra distance....

It was part of the package deal. Best way to invest in extra lenses. It also came with a lens flare hood.

This is an average long zoom at best. Very soft beyond 250MM (at least with a D5500). The new 70-300 AF-P VR is a much better lens.

I love this lens it was an awesome buy, great for hummingbird pictures

I've just use it a few times experimenting, but feel it will do all I expect it to do.

Much better zoom capability than I had before. I do wish it zoomed out a bit more, but still pretty pleased.

Haven't went anywhere special to test drive my new camera and lens yet. More updates to follow.
