I can get great close ups of things and also when used on closer objects, I can play around with the settings on my camera and get awesome close ups to where the focus point is crisp and behind it the background gets blurry giving the photo an enhanced look! So far no issues and I would also recommmend this lens in the mix to capture those far pics like sporting events and such!

love my new lense

I cant wait to take pictures at my kids next base ball game. It took under two weeks to get it, which is pretty fast compared to other companies we have ordered from. It was really nice when I opened the box and inside there was a handwritten letter thanking my husband for his service in the military. Thank you Best Buy you ROCK!!!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you can afford it I would get the 70-300 for about twice the price or if money is handy for $1200 you can get the 80-200 2.8 which is one of Nikon's best.

You may have to go to manual focus for really far off shots. I find it seats more reliably on the contacts than does the 18 to 105 lens that came with my D 90. Overall a good lens.
