    I made the mistake of buying this camera for an european trip. I was only able to use the auto setting because I did know how to use other settings. Not for the novice camera user.

    Although it is paired in many kits the performance of this lens is really disappointing. the image quality is very mediocre at best. does not perform well under low light conditions. i returned after a week or so. save your money for a better lens.

    Zoom distance is not great. You can't get in too close or too far from subject. I use this camera, for example, to take pictures of my dogs and I have to get in really close to them with this lens. This is not too convenient.

    Nice lens. Works well, but we have encountered some issues with auto focus. Don't know it this is a camera or lens issue. Need to do more research on it.
