I bought so I could take pictures of the squirrels and birds that come to feed in my back yard as well as of my cats & dogs. I get great pictures every time.

Easy to use, a little bulky to carry around though

I was going to buy the 55-300mm lens but was too much for my budget, so bought this one instead and I'm happy with it. It zooms in enough to take pictures of my kids during their football games. It worked for me.

I got this lens as part of a package deal when I bought my Nikon D3100. So far it has been great. It has plenty of zoom and I think it will be good to use as my son gets older for sports.

If you are just starting out, this is a great lens to add to your set-up. It is an auto-focus lens with multiple focus points and vibration reduction. It would be nice if the lens were a bit faster, but for the price, it can't be beat.

This lens is a must own. The quality of the photos is amazing, crisp and clear. The zoom range is also amazing. We take this lens with us everywhere and people are wow'd by the pics.

Pretty straight forward design. Easy to use and adjust. Has automatic focus and image stabilization, both of which work great! I bought at the same time as the camera and glad I did.

Great lens for the price. Not a big zoom, but easy to capture subjects at a distance, especially childen who tend to be camera shy when posing. Very satisfied with this purchase.

this works great for far away shot and has pretty good clarity. The vibration reduction helps alot for hand help distance shots. The aperature size isnt' bad for most lighting. I got plenty of shots in the living room at night lite by only a couple lamps. for the price its a good lens.

This auto fucus zoom lens lets me get closer to the action. Kids sporting events, graduations, wildlife etc. I saved $100 when I bundled it along with my Nikon D5200.

A good 55-200 zoom at a reasonable price that allows the Nikon auto functions to work. Picture quality has been great. Using on a D3200 works well, made for the camera

I'm a newbie, so for me it works perfectly. Photos are clear, I can get close ups if I want. It happened to be on sale, and I had a gift card. So price was just right!

When you are starting this lens comes as a kit option with some kit. It does the job and the only place those lens should be used is outside in the bright day light. This lens is not good at all in low light. It's great for a first lens next to a kit lens.
