This is a terrific lens, works well in low light. Take’s great wild life pictures as well as action pictures. However it is a heavy lens

I’ve been wanting this lens and so glad that I finally got it. It is awesome. I am able to get amazing photos of the moon plus much more.

Sharp as a tack, very well built. The VR system works like a charm, I use it hand-held 90% of the times. Works fantastically well with my D500.

This lens, albeit a bit heavy at 5 lbs , is fantastic. It's clarity both near and far is exceptional. Looking forward to many beautiful shots.

I have used it even in church and have not had the chance to go out in the yard to capture birds yet!!!

Great lens for sports photography and nature photography.

It was a little bigger than I thought it would be, and hand-holding it is not easy. However on a monopod or tripod the lens is perfect.

Works great on a full frame or dx body though it is larger than I expected.

I purchased this for my wife for her Nikon 7200 and although the lens is a full frame, it works flawlessly. In my opinion for a zoom lens, it’s even better because of the crop factor. You will definitely need a tripod or monopod for photos but this is my wife’s favorite lens for eagles and bird photography. I would say we are still beginners-moderate, but this is a fun lens.
