Great lens for all around situations. It functions great!!

Pretty good at this price point. Don't think i would pay full price for it, but we got it at a discount with a new d600. I used it on my d7000 and turned out some pretty good shots. Couldnt get as close as i would like, but thats not the design. If you can get it on sale, it is a FX lens.

I purchased the 24-85mm lens about a month ago and I must say it was an excellent choice. It is lightweight and with VR it is perfect for vacations and shooting around town. The price is reasonable and at f/3.5-4.5G I still get great pictures. Paired with my D7100 body I have about a 100mm reach.

It's a good lens for the price range. Produces sharp images and focuses quite quickly I think it has a good range for an everyday kit.

I really like this lens. Recently finished a long trip with using the 28 to 120 mm F4 but will take this lens next time due to its reduced weight. Image quality is the same as the much more expensive F4.

Easy to use, high quality, compatible with other Nikon bodies. It came with a bundle package so I save some money on it, and I'm very happy with it.

This is by far the best Nikon Lens i have owned and i have bought most of them. The glass is just super clear and lens is fast enough for me. It has a variety of used for shots that its my go to lens every single time i travel.

I thought it might be too heavy, but it isn't. In fact, it's easier to hold my Nikon D750 body with this lens than it was to hold my D750 with a similar zoom lens for DX camera bodies. And it's a very sharp lens.

I purchased this lens as an open box item. It did not focus so Best Buy had to send it back for repair. Once I get it back I can give a better review on this item. All I can say positive is that Best Buy has stand behind this product and most likely it will be replace.

This is great for little better photo. The photos are a little "wider" view then with the standard I think.

I bought this lens during a trip to replace a Nikon 24-120mm f/4 that I dropped and damaged. I needed to fill the focal length gap in my bag left by the out of commission 24-120. I was impressed with the image quality of the 24-85. It's a extremely good lens and only half the price of the 24-120. I'll be getting the 24-120 repaired but I'll be keeping the 24-85 as a backup.

I was looking for a good walk around lens with both in door and out door purpose .. a general lens .. the 24-85 meets that requirement, fast focus and good VR performance, for everyday use I would buy it again.

Bought this to fill in the lower end of the zoom range, and it works great. I find that I have to give it a little exposure compensation (+1) with a 160 ISO for most shots to get the exposure where it should be, but the images are nice and sharp. Not great in low light, but it's a sub $500 lens, that works exactly as I expected,

Prefect all purpose zoom lens for the serious photographer.

Bought this with the Nikon D600 (happy with the purchases). Great FX ens to have to start out with.

This is the perfect everyday lens for my Nikon FX camera. It is considerably lighter and smaller and half the price of the 24-120. The quality is superb and I can see a big difference compared with my DX. Recommend a 72mm UV filter for protection.
