This lens is a MUST have for any photographer using a Nikon. The pictures are incredible sharp and bright. You get a very good value for the cost you have

this is a great lens for portraiture! the backgrounds are so soft and it allows for picture taking in pretty low light

Shoots beautifully. Ratios are true. The price was comparable to other vendors and delivery was very quick. Highly recvomend.

I bought this lens to go along with my D610 and I'm wondering if I would've been better off with the Sigma alternative. This is a great lens - the bokeh is absolutely dreamy and the color quality is great - my only concern is with the sharpness. My pictures seem to come out a little too soft sometimes, no matter the camera settings. Plus the "auto" part of the autofocus feature doesnt focus very well if its something further away than the 50mm distance. I usually have to switch into manual focus to get the shot. Overall, I am happy with this lens which is why I gave it 4 stars, but I do wish I had rented both this and the Sigma to compare before purchasing. Just a thought for those of you considering this lens.

Best decision was to invest in the 1.4 instead of the 1.8 i love it!

Wonderful lens, everyone should have a nifty fifty millimeter in their collection.

This is truly a Versital lens, capable of many shots in a short period of time. Very fast aperture makes it fun to capture all your moments.

This lens was bought for my teen daughter who works on short films and photography on a daily basis. She is very happy with the easy of use.

I used to think life was lived at f/1.8 but man was I wrong. The air is so crisp at f1.4 its almost hard to breathe.

It's an amazing lens. It's so amazing that almost no editing is required for the photos. Naturally the photos comes well.
