Customers are saying
Customers admire the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G Standard Lens for its exceptional image quality, pleasing bokeh, and impressive low light performance. Many users find it easy to use and appreciate its depth of field capabilities, making it suitable for portrait photography. However, some customers have noted occasional focus issues, and a few feel the price difference compared to the 1.8 version is a concern.

Pretty good for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wide open, as with many, this lens is very soft. CA is extremely high. In studio at f11 it's extremely sharp with good color and contrast. I shot it with a D7100, so is probably much better full frame. Good for the money, but I find the 1.8 to be all around sharper.

Best portrait lens for APS-C Body
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no words to explain but this is perfect companion if you have a crop sensor body. Any Nikon 3000 SERIES or 5000 SERIES would work great. I have a D7200 and this is one of the best companion for the portraits.

Quality lens
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a standard Nikon lens, price set by Nikon. It was convenient to buy at Best Buy. I have heard photo talks describing it as a "nifty fifty." I picked the f/1.4 version for low light versatility.
