Overall I am very happy with this product. I think it's a great price and it has become my main lense for my portraits. I would recommend this to other amateur photographers.

I bought a Nikon d5600 with two kit lenses. I researched a lot and knew I wanted a nice prime lens to go with it. This is it and has become my go-to. I will be adding more but this is great for my current needs.

Amazing Quality for my Cannon. All I need a wide angle lens to go with my gear and I’ll be set. Small and not bulky, my go to lens when taking pictures up close

As an amateur photographer, this lens makes it easy to control depth of field and exposure for the effects that I want with closeups and portraits. Best low-light solution that I have ever used. I use it with a D3300 camera and I am very pleased.

Got this to go with my son's Nikon Camera kit from last year. He takes a ton of portraits and group pics. He was on The Bachelorette a couple of years ago, James Taylor, and he absolutely loves this lens!!!

I bought this lens for portrait photography and it does excellent for that. I also use for overall photos like macro. I know there is lenses for that but it's just a hobby for me at this time and this lens isn't too expensive. It's recommended for sure.

I was looking for a prime lens and decided on this one. It's been great from the start. It fits the mount nice and tight, real fast auto focus and captures super sharp images in real low light. Very happy so far!

I've been wanting one of these lenses for a while and I'm glad I finally made the investment. It's been especially great for video - a more recent hobby of mine - but absolutely perfect for the low-light environments in which I tend to shoot for nighttime events, parties.

Great lens for beginner to pro photographer. While the aperture is not as good as its big bro, it's still a fantastic lens at a great price

As pretty much anyone will tell you - this is a fantastic, cheap, fun lens to own. Once you start to get used to your camera, and want an upgrade to a better lens - this is a great one to pick up.

the nifty fifty lens, pretty much standard 50mm lens. every manufacturer has one are for the money they can't be beat. The only other 50mm option is the F1.4 and that is around 3 times the price. You won't be disappointed with this lens.

Purchased this with the Nikon D750. Phenomenal performance and at an excellent price compared to the 50mm f1.4, if you're debating between the two, have no qualms about going with this less expensive lens for your daily needs!

The f.8 aperature allows for great background blur, especially for DX cameras. Gives tack sharp results. Perfect portrait lens for DX which gives you a field of view equivalent to a 75mm. I highly recommend having this part of your collection!

I purchased this lens because I wanted to be able to take great portrait shots. I couldn't be more pleased with it. I was able to take engagement shots of me and my fiancee (using my tripod and remote control) for our upcoming wedding and the results were fantastic.

This lens is simply sharp. (for the price!!! )I took it around New York city and the 50mm focal length range was perfect for just about every location. I have an 85 and that's great for portrait but the 50 fits more scenarios.
