You can’t go wrong upgrading from a non assisted stock lens to the “nifty 50m.” Great buy, understand this lens does not zoom at all, but great quality.

The quality of this lens blew me away. I thought my 35mm f1.8 was sharp but this is so much better. Everyone should have one of these in their camera bag for all sorts of uses.

I regret waiting to get this lens. It focuses quickly and quietly. I use it more and more because it works in so many situations. If you're looking for an affordable prime lens, this definitely fits the bill.

I’ve been wanting this lense for a long time. It gives really good colors. And great for isolating the subject of the background. Like it so much, I definitely would recommend it.

Great Lens - Slow to Focus!

This lens is a nice lens - as an amateur photographer just getting into my photography business, I am hesitant to invest in expensive equipment as I am not sure where this is headed. This lens was a great price and made me feel comfortable purchasing. I read all the reviews and knew what to expect. It takes wonderful photos, but it is very slow to focus when on auto-focus.

I got this lens for my DX sensor camera, which makes it a 80mm instead of 50mm. This is my most used lens and images are sharper than my kit lenses.

This lens has quickly become my go-to favorite in my camera bag. The images are sharp and the lens focuses incredibly fast. A 50mm lens is a must for any photographer and this one more than satisfies the need.

Love love this lens. Wish I would have purchased it sooner. It takes a little getting use to a prime lens since there's no zoom. Love shooting in aperture priority. Takes awesome photos of my little one.

Nikon - AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G is Perfect for Portrait pictures. No Zoom but that will not stop you taking great portrait pictures especially in low light.

With the F1.8 I can shoot in low lighting for clear and beautiful pictures. If you're interested in concert photography this is a great lens for a decent price.

The lens is amazing! It took a few weeks for me to decide on this 50mm 1.8g over the 50mm 1.4g. It's half a stop slower but it's sharper and half the price. The build is impressive and just soo sharp. Love it!

I purchased the Nikon 50mm f/1.8G mainly for indoor low light situations. Paired with the Nikon D500 it is a great match for low light as well as Portrait. My results thus far have been great.

I was looking for a close working lens where I could blur my subjects background to get the effect I wanted without having to do a ton of additional editing. This lens fit the bill perfectly!!!
