Best lens for portrait. I love it. its small and light too.

This is comparable to the 85mm lens on an fx camera so it is a bit zoomed in for general use but always handy for some quick portraits overall 2nd most useful lens in my bag!

Most would know what to expect from a lens like this. Auto focus works great and to the point. Works great with my Nikon 7200. Average price with this lens.

Great lens. It's really bright so you havet o adjust the f stop or the Shutter speed mode when you're outdoors but it's ideal for shooting close-ups. I'm very happy with it.

Awesome lens for taking portrait shots. We only use it in auto mode since we're newbies but the pictures come out great.

I was checking for a normal prime 50mm lens for my Nikon D750 and decided on the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8 G Standard lens over the f/1.4 G Standard lens because I couldn't justify the extra cost.

This is my first prime lens. took some getting use to but love how clear the pictures come out.

I use the lens literally for almost every photo shoot I do. It is extremely clear. Love the f/1.8G, it really helps blur out areas you might not want seen.

We have taken some great bokeh shots with this lense. Easy to use and was exactly what I thought it was.

You can do so many things with a 50mm lens (They don't call it the "nifty fifty" for nothing!) and I would recommend one to anyone looking to beef up their camera bag. (This is for my D3400)

We purchased this lense to have the blurring effect in the background while focusing on the subject of the picture entirely. It works perfectly and is even good for some long distance shots.
