Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the product's superb image quality, pleasing bokeh, and strong low light performance. Many also appreciate its ease of use, lightweight design, and suitability for portrait photography due to its good shallow depth of field, especially considering its price. The only notable concern raised by a small number of customers is an occasional issue with autofocus.

I bought this lens to take pictures of my wife. The lens captures amazing pictures especially Bokeh which I really love a lot. The zoom lens I had earlier has a minimum F number of 3.5 and does not help during night time shooting. But this has 1.8 and does an excellent job even in the night and is a must buy for everyone. I rarely use flash after I bought this lens.

I bought new DSLR of nikon and its best gift I gave it my wife & daughter to capture memories but I was feeling something is missing in picture quality (darkness, brightness and detail). then I found this Lens and it complete my missing feelings. I would suggest everyone to buy this product. Specially if you want to capture your kids day today activity specially when they are infant. Love it.

The plastic mount on my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8d lens got ruined from a small drop and the pins were out of line so by buying this 50mm f/1.8g lens I am very happy that it has a more sturdy metal mount, has an internal focusing motor, and has an edge as to how sharp it can focus when compared to the older d model. While it may be nice to be able to stop the lens down to f/22, I never really need to stop down below f/16. I'd much rather have the internal focusing motor. Not to mention it also has better bokeh! The aperature fins are more rounded.

I currently have the kit lens and 70-300mm lens f4.5 and they both do ok in low light with editing but since purchasing this lens it makes my camera do alot better in low light situations and i can capture action without motion blur.

This is a pretty handy lens to have. I love this lens and take it everywhere i go. I bought this just before going to hawaii and all the pics have come out very well. The low light camera pics are awesome. I wish i also had a 35mm lens of the same quality for the same price.

I hesitated getting this lens despite reading the reviews. I have a 16-300mm lens which has the 50mm in it, so why buy another? But I bought it anyway and loved this lens from the first photo I took! The color and sharpness of my photos made me believe that I can really take some nice photos!! Love this lens. If anything happens to this lens, I will definitely buy another.

For the price of this prime lens you can't go wrong it takes clear images that look amazing. I'm glad I chose this one over the 35mm prime.

I previously purchased a good "knock-off" of this lens. (Yongnuo 50mm f1.8) That other lens was good, but would over overexpose and have trouble locking in focus on the correct part of the image. So, I returned it and bought the Nikon lens. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The Nikon lens is great! Images are sharp, and have good color and proper exposure. (Using Nikon D3400 DSLR.) Definitely worth the additional money IF you plan on using the 50mm lens and not just the kit-lens that comes with the camera.
