This lens is so light and a nice alternative to the very expensive and heavy Nikon 2,8FX 75-200 lens when you want to take pictures without carrying a heavy lens. The pictures are just as nice. There is no zoom so you need to use your feet to zoom.

This lens is a true value for money. You can feel the difference right from your first click. Zero motor noise, very light and easy to carry and at f/1.8 it gives you the portrait that you always thought of capturing. Great value purchase. Comes in along with a hood, and lens cover. Nice packing.

I love shooting landscape and other outdoor shots as well as family group shots. This lens fits the bill perfectly. The images are sharp and it focuses quickly and effortlessly. I also like its light weight and length.

Better than the Nikon 35mm AF-S

I was initially undecided between buying the Nikon 35mm AF-S or this 50mm AFS lens. I finally settled on the 50mm and I am happy with the results. Only downside is that focal length is too large for indoor or group shots. Low light performance and bokeh is amazing.

I have the Nikon D750 with a 24-120 mm. I wanted to pick up a prime lense to add to my kit and chose this one. It is the perfect addition. It is very lightweight but durable. The glass is great and I’m really loving the 1.8 aperture

Fast auto focus and affordable 50mm go-to lens

I purchased this lens to compliment the purchase of my D750. I originally considered the 50mm f/1.4G, but couldn't justify paying more than twice as much as the f/1.8G. The extra 2/3 stop just wasn't worth the cost. Also, the 'sweet spot' of both lenses is between f/2 and f/5.6, and the bokeh of the f/1.8 wide open was much more appealing, in my opinion.

Amazing lens for the price! It was on sale on Nikon's website, and BestBuy had it for the same price. Everyone should have a prime lens as part of their lens rotation. Since I have gotten the lens I have not used my other lenses!

I had originally purchased the 50mm 1.4G and noticed some vignetting and the image was not very sharp at the center at F1.4. I was not very impressed and thought I would purchase the F1.8 and compare. I was completely shocked to see that the 1.8 was much sharper at F1.8 than the 1.4 was at F1.4 and also F1.8. The 1.4 did have a slight better sharpness at the edges but overall the 1.8 was the winner! I highly recommend the 1.8G even over the 1.4G. I kept the 1.8 and returned the 1.4G.

This is a great lens to add to your collection! It makes every picture you take look like it was done by a pro. It really makes the object of the shot pop and background blurs everything else.

This is my go to lens for low light settings and when I want bokeh. All my pictures have been crisp and clear and I’ve used it on two different camera bodies. I would definitely recommend this lens to any level photographer.

This 50mm f1.8 Nikon Lens is proving to be a great lens to shoot street photos with my Nikon D810. The price is low but the lens is as sharp as other more expensive lenses. I would recommend this lens for beginers and pros alike, it is a great value.

Lens is exactly what I expected & more. I'm learning to do so much with it & the f1.8 aperture helps get great portraits w/ a blurry background. Also love taking action shots with it. Definitely recommend it! Great first prime lens!

I have a 18-300mm lens, but after seeing my friends' pictures I realized this lens is must have one. Gives wonderful bouquet, you do not need to worry about others showing up in your pic when you are shooting in a crowded place.

I borrowed a friends 50mm because I had heard so many good things about it and it didn't let me down and I had to buy one. BB had it on sale and I jumped right on it because everytime I tried it was sold out. This lens provides such as high level of detail. Great for low light and for portaits but I also find it great at landscapes as well. Of course it's a fixes lens so you have to use your feet to zoom but that's not why I bought it. This is a great step up for a beginner looking for something better than the standard lot lens that comes with most cameras. But this...it won't let you down.

This is the best all-round lens. Pictures are crystal clear every time. It takes nice photos outside but really amazing inside under low light. I like to use it for portraits mostly.
