This is my first wide aperture lens so far and I must say I have been more than impressed. The lens delivers amazingly sharp pictures in low light...love the bokeh :-)

Great alternative for the 1.4g . Overall a great buy, len is clear and auto focus is good but I prefer the back focus. Works nicely on my d610, light weight. Best of all best buy has the best pricing.

This lens makes my Nikon camera take amazing pictures. It makes the non focused area blurred, and the focused area razor sharp. Pop it on and it looks like you had a professional take your photos.

Disclaimer: I am a newb and only a hobbiest. This is the first lens I have purchased for my D3500aside from my 2 kit lenses. I get crisp, clean images almost every time. I say almost because I shake really bad and am forced to use a tripod 95% of the time. I love having focus marks including Infinity mark. Speaking of focus, i wish Nikon would smooth out the focus ring as it is a little "rough" feeling when it is tirned but is not bad at all. Overall I would say if I lost my Nifty 50 today due to damage or theft I would easily replace it quickly.

The 50/f1.8 G is a perfect lens for getting shallow depth of field on a budget. On DX cameras like the D3400, d5600, or D7200 it's a pretty good portrait lens. Highly recommended.

This is an all-star lens. So good, I bought two for my colleagues. You need this basic/inexpensive but razor-sharp lens to up your game. Quit using kit lenses and get this and a longer lens.

I'm really happy I went along with this Lens. The depth of field is awesome. It's a very light compact lens and the auto focus is fast enough for me. I'm very pleased with this lens.

This lens is an incredible value for the money. The wide aperture creates incredible background blur in portraits, and also allows for shorter exposures in low-light conditions.

I currently have the kit lens and 70-300mm lens f4.5 and they both do ok in low light with editing but since purchasing this lens it makes my camera do alot better in low light situations and i can capture action without motion blur.

The bang for buck on this is a no brainer. You must have it if you have a full frame Nikon. My D750 feels so light with it on and the images are sharp. It's good in low light as well.

The Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8G is a fabulous lens. The bokeh it produces, as well as the clarity of the subjects is awesome! Also, you can't beat the price. So glad to have added this to my collection!

Excellent prime lens with a nice creamy bokeh. I use it on a crop sensor with makes it work like a 75mm and the results are absolutely stunning. Rarely leaves my camera.

Bought this for my euro trip and boy it did wonders. Great bokeh, landscape and even portraits... And was surprised it performed better than my 85 under lowlight...worth every penny
