Good normal prime lens that I can use with auto focus on either my Nikon D610 full frame or my older Nikon D40 DX (still works nicely). This versatility as well as the image quality the lens provides make it a desirable addition to my collection of lenses. And the price was right.

This lens is soooo cool. The quality is superB!! So whoever wants to take pictures far away, buy this now! LOL. Actually, I might need to buy the 35mm as this one takes far away. However, I still like it tho.

The f stop on this lens is excellent, and 1.8 with 50mm delivers a beautiful shallow depth of field. And f/1.8 also means better exposures at night, but the 35mm f/1.8 is a must have, if you need a wider depth of field at that f stop.

Fantastic Prime Lens. It totally change the final results of your photography. Even more if shooting RAW. The kit lens is good, but it can't produce a nice blurry background. I will soon buy a 85mm 1.8 G for my D3300 and D7100.

absolutely love this lens. its nice that you can switch from auto manual. with the larger aperture I've managed to get some wonder night shots.I also like the fact that it comes with a hood. i would deferentially recommend to have this lens in your collection

I was looking at purchasing a new lens for my Nikon d5100 and this lens is exactly what I needed! Perfect for portrait photography! I have been using the stock lens kit that came with the D5100 and I can't believe what I have been missing out on! You will not regret purchasing this lens ;)

The lens works really good and it’s a great peace of work and y portraits became much better with this.

1 year after purchase and this is still my favorite lens to use. I use it a lot for taking headshots and also is great for putting it on my DSLR for more professional zoom sessions.

this lens is great for a starter. I use it in my street photography and it works. I have to constantly move, adjust and be very precise. It forced me to adjust myself, and my technique.

I am new to photography and wanted a good 50mm lens for a reasonable price. My research led me to the Nikon 50mm f/1.8. It is a terrific lens, performs well and takes sharp images. I am very happy with my purchase.

Excellent lens and getting awesome pictures with Nikon D7500

I had read a lot of reviews for this lens and knew I wanted it. We planned a trip to San Diego for the Fourth of July holiday and decided to pick it up. It just happened to be on sale. I've been getting great images and I am just a beginner photographer.
