The Best Quality!

So whoever wants to take pictures far away, buy this now! LOL. Actually, I might need to buy the 35mm as this one takes far away. However, I still like it tho.

And f/1.8 also means better exposures at night, but the 35mm f/1.8 is a must have, if you need a wider depth of field at that f stop.

Great and cheap Lens

Even more if shooting RAW. The kit lens is good, but it can't produce a nice blurry background. I will soon buy a 85mm 1.8 G for my D3300 and D7100.

Love It

Rented it to test it out and it worked great so I decided to buy it because I take pictures too much to rent it every time. It is so worth the money spent to purchase my own. Portrait pictures are one of the best pictures out.

Great first lens

After reading a lot of reviews decided to go buy 50mm and I was not disappointed. The picture quality is wonderful. Very happy with the purchase

Perfect for portrait photography! I have been using the stock lens kit that came with the D5100 and I can't believe what I have been missing out on! You will not regret purchasing this lens ;)

We planned a trip to San Diego for the Fourth of July holiday and decided to pick it up. It just happened to be on sale. I've been getting great images and I am just a beginner photographer.

Great lense for the cost

For the price you can't beat this. Are there better options, yes but they cost 2-3 times as much. I've been taking a lot of photos and have not been disappointed.

A great lens for portraits

D5300 is has DX camera body (the crop ratio is 1.5). This lens is great especially in Aperture mode. I stopped using my other lenses for family snaps. I am happy with the purchase.
