I purchased this lens because I wanted to be able to take great portrait shots. I couldn't be more pleased with it. I was able to take engagement shots of me and my fiancee (using my tripod and remote control) for our upcoming wedding and the results were fantastic.

I purchased this lens on the recommendation of a photographer I know and wow is it ever amazing. I can't imaging needing any other lens unless I need to zoom in on the moon or something. This is one of the best lens's I've ever had.

Clear photos with ease of use. I primarily shoot in auto because let's face it, I have five kids and manual settings take too long sometimes so I just shoot auto and this lens helps make it so that I can just point and shoot.

This lens is excellent for any beginner! If you are looking for something sharper and higher quality you'll have to pay the higher prices but for someone just getting into photography you can't go wrong with this lens.

I looked at the F1.4 version of this lens to be honest for double the money I could not tell the difference This is a great lens

Just what I expected from a Nikon lens. I haven't had a real chance to put it through it's paces yet, but I am really enjoying the greater control of depth of field and ability to use faster shutter speeds the app.erature allows

I was so excited when i bought this. It works really great and is everything i wanted. If you are looking for a starter 50mm lens this is it! Go ahead and buy it , you wont be disappointed!

I love this lens! It has amazing bokeh and clarity for the price point. I’m not a big fan of the 50mm focal length for a crop sensor, but the lens performs great in all conditions for me when I need it.

This has most certainly elevated my picture to another level. Still working on my composition but I’ve been able to capture some magnificent shots with this lens so far.

Installed it on Nikon DX 3300 and took a few test shoots indoor and it looked pretty good. It seems the image quality is better than using Nikon DX 35mm f/1.8G lens, I have both lenses.

I purchased this lens with the Nikon D5300 And you can't beat the quality for the price, this lens is sharp and light The perfect walk around lens.

I have a D3300 and this lens is a great addition to my bag. Does a good job with low lighting. It is fairly focused so you don't get as wide of a shot as on the 35mm lens but it still works amazingly for single portrait shots and still life.

I would not say that I am a professional photographer in any sense however, I can tell you that this lens is incredible. I am able to use this in low light or a lot of light and the colors I am able to capture is just superb.

This lens is amazing! The pictures I've taken with it over the last 3 months have come out great. Makes all of my pictures look some what professional. Since I've gotten it, friends and family are always commenting on how much they love my pictures.

This lens has a very shallow focus range making it easy to focus on something or someone and blue out the back ground. It also takes fantastic photos in low light. This lens has given new life to my 8+ year old camera.
