The nifty fifty
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of this lens blew me away. I thought my 35mm f1.8 was sharp but this is so much better. Everyone should have one of these in their camera bag for all sorts of uses.

Lens For That Special Photograph
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you bought the Nikon D5500 kit with the 18-55mm lens you really need this unless you need the faster f-stop which gives a shallow depth of field for that perfect portrait. If so, yes I recommend this

Great for low lighting

It gives really good colors. And great for isolating the subject of the background. Like it so much, I definitely would recommend it.

Great Lens - Slow to Focus!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens is a nice lens - as an amateur photographer just getting into my photography business, I am hesitant to invest in expensive equipment as I am not sure where this is headed. This lens was a great price and made me feel comfortable purchasing. I read all the reviews and knew what to expect. It takes wonderful photos, but it is very slow to focus when on auto-focus.

Great lens to have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this lens for my DX sensor camera, which makes it a 80mm instead of 50mm. This is my most used lens and images are sharper than my kit lenses.

Great prime lens
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great prime lens. Was using 18-140 mm lens but this is a 50 mm but has a wider aperture ( smaller f stop). Does a great job for the price paid.

Simply wow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lens is amazing! It took a few weeks for me to decide on this 50mm 1.8g over the 50mm 1.4g. It's half a stop slower but it's sharper and half the price. The build is impressive and just soo sharp. Love it!
