easy to use works with my nikon d40 camera produced some nice looking pictures

I have multiple prime lenses and really like this one the best for portraits. Its a must have for anyone getting into photography and it keeps you from being a lazy photographer relying on zoom.

I was debating whether to get a 35mm or a 50 mm and I finally decided to get this one. I am very happy with my decision, this lens lets me take great pictures with amazing depth. Very happy with this purchase.

great for concerts love it, captured alot of good shots over the last month with it . great in low light.

This is lens an easy purchase to make with the lens usual selling for under $200 dollars. The quality is great and I have not issues to report on this lens.

Good for portrait Photo and background blur. I like photo with background blur and I always love this prime lenses over my any other lenses. Only I drawback is that lenses is not VR lenses but again with its price its great since to get VR lenses with the aperture you would have to pay much more. You tripod to avoid subject blur.

Takes great pictures of people. Can really blur out the background with low f stop.

This lens is great for close up photos. It does not zoom so you have to be close to the subjects. I am not a professional but this was nice for up close headshot photos and background blurring.

Nice auto focus lens with wide aperture (F/1.8) for low light. A lot of Youtube reviews praising 50mm lenses. Claims are that the 50mm focal length approximates what the eye sees.

I bought this lens after my other lens broke that was similar but I think Nikons cheaper version. I hardly take this lens off when I do portraits. Great lens and price.

Great lens for my first non kit glass. I thought not being able to zoom would be an issue but it's been easy to adjust and my pictures are beautiful!!

I haven't used this lens much because I just received it as a gift for Christmas. So far the pictures I have taken are very clear. I am still learning how to use this type lens.

Takes nice portraits. Is a must have in addition to a zoom lens. Having the two lenses will give you the variability you need to cover most situations. I'm using this with the Nikon D7100 and the pics are great.
