Excellent, Resonable 50 mm lens for portrait photography

This is an awesome lens for the price. The depth of field and the pictures that you can take with this lens are great for any level of photographer.

Initially, I was skeptical about purchasing this lens, therefore did some amount of research to ensure it is worth the purchase and you won't believe I made the best decision of having this lens in my kit. To clarify the most common doubt, it is an FX lens (I use it on my D750). It certainly is one of the best lens in its class. It shoots very sharp and crisp clear pictures. Having said that, it enhances your photo shooting capability and therefore it is a must have.

I was looking for a lens to take pictures during basketball games and this one fits the bill. There is no zoom, but picture quality is exceptional.

I've been using this on my D810 for street, indoor and portrait photography. It is fast focusing and tack sharp. You can't go wrong with this lens.

Can't beat the lens for the price. Excellent for mid-range architectural shots, portraits, and shallow depth of field. FYI, you will need to move your feet to get the shot - no zoom. Awesome bokeh. I can't see spending the extra cach for .4 f-stop.
