Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Standard Lens, especially its superb image quality and pleasing bokeh effect. Many appreciate its low light performance, ease of use, and lightweight design, making it a great value for the price. Some users have noted occasional autofocus issues. Overall, the lens is well-regarded for its ability to create a shallow depth of field.

The 50 1.8 really should be the first lens you but with a new crop sensor dslr. Great portrait lens with little to no distortion.

This lens completes the package of my new DSLR. Between the standard lens and zoom that came with it, this 50mm standard lens lets me take awesome up-close shots. Best Buy was the only place locally that I could find and had a very competitive price.

This camera is really great. I love the Bokeh it produces, and the image blurr when shooting portraits. I must say, the price is not too bad for this lens. The only downside is, this lens is hard to use in indoors if your trying to shoot group portraits.

I'm just in absolute love with this. It's a great middle ground when my 85mm is a little too much and my 35 aint quite enough. It's a must add to your camera bag.

This is my first prefessional camera and this lens has been perfect for our photo needs. I'm not running a business or anything, I just enjoy taking photos and learning more about the camera. I've used it mainly for family photos and a few landscapes.

The 50mm prime lens is an essential tool for every photographer. I have always used Nikon gear for it's rugged reliability, consistency...and because they make the best glass in the business. You won't find a more versatile, "go-to" lens anywhere.

This is a portrait photographers must have. 1.8 creates a beautiful soft background with very fast AF. Due note this is a prime lens so there is no zoom.
