Camera bag must have
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a portrait photographers must have. 1.8 creates a beautiful soft background with very fast AF. Due note this is a prime lens so there is no zoom.

Great image quality at a small price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You may need to play with the AF micro adjust to get this lens finely tuned in to get optimal performance, but once you do it is a stunner. Very sharp even fairly open, but stop it down to f5.6 to f8 for landscapes and it produces great images.

IMHO this performed better than the 50mm 1.4
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good solid prime lens. Also tested the 1.4 but for my needs, the 1.8 was a better fit and value.

Awesome lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased my Nikon D3300, and this lens for taking photos of my newborn. This lens is my favorite to use while taking up close photos with background defocus for the perfect photo

Does everything I need it to.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this and the 55mm. I prefer this one as I have more room to work with in tight spaces. Works great, but I recommend a polarized filter if you go to museums to reduce glare.

50mm Lens
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wonderful lens, great for shooting friends and family portraits, especially on my Nikon d3400 crop sensor. The 50mm on my camera is equivalent to a 75mm.

As always Nikkor is a superb lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a problem with the lens fitting (machining issues) bestbuy replaced immediately and all is well, as for Nikkor there's not much to say, they are the best chunk of glass you can get for Nikon cameras.
