Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Standard Lens, especially its superb image quality and pleasing bokeh effect. Many appreciate its low light performance, ease of use, and lightweight design, making it a great value for the price. Some users have noted occasional autofocus issues. Overall, the lens is well-regarded for its ability to create a shallow depth of field.

Got this lens on sale for $40 off. Bright, sharp and fast lens. Price was right. If you don't have one, you need one. I would highly recommend this lens for anyone. You can shoot indoors in good light with no flash!!

Nothing like a Nikon product. Very nice materials and nice pouch to keep it safe from scratches. Perfect lens for all around photos!

You may need to play with the AF micro adjust to get this lens finely tuned in to get optimal performance, but once you do it is a stunner. Very sharp even fairly open, but stop it down to f5.6 to f8 for landscapes and it produces great images.

Good solid prime lens. Also tested the 1.4 but for my needs, the 1.8 was a better fit and value.

I bought this and the 55mm. I prefer this one as I have more room to work with in tight spaces. Works great, but I recommend a polarized filter if you go to museums to reduce glare.

Purchased my Nikon D3300, and this lens for taking photos of my newborn. This lens is my favorite to use while taking up close photos with background defocus for the perfect photo

Wonderful lens, great for shooting friends and family portraits, especially on my Nikon d3400 crop sensor. The 50mm on my camera is equivalent to a 75mm.

I have been wanting this lens for some time now and finally got it. It fits nicely on my Nikon D7000. I think it will work on the older D80 too. I love backward compatibility.

Had a problem with the lens fitting (machining issues) bestbuy replaced immediately and all is well, as for Nikkor there's not much to say, they are the best chunk of glass you can get for Nikon cameras.
