My go-to lens

The auto-focus on the lens is extremely fast, very little if any lens distortion. And it being f/1.8 it's great for low light situations. I've used it on both the D7100 and D850.

I used this lens at work to take photos of customer damage on our product. The pictures came out dark even with a flash. I've increased the aperture and the photos still came out dark. The photos were also blurry when I tried to take a close up of the damage. I replaced the lens with the lens that came with my camera and the pictures were brighter and clearer. I have taken pictures at home with the stock lens and I didn't have a problem with it. I would have to play with it a little more to get it to work the way it should. There is a learning curve if you're new with DSLR cameras. Would I recommend it to a friend? Ask me when I learn how to use the lens correctly.
