This camera is just what we needed. The pictures are much better than using your cell phone.

I love my camera, but the wifi doesn't work on it. I have to bring it back into the store to get it checked, I'm sure it's just mine. The date also changed and idk why. But overall a great quality camera for an awesome price.

It takes clear and accurate photos while taking scenic motorcycle rides. The battery stays charged for a long time. I like how small it is for carrying in my pocket.

Has a very nice zoom, easy to operate. Only negative is I wish the lens was smooth to the camera face when not in use, I put it in my pocket for carrying.

I bought this Nikon camera to replace a Panasonic 20x camera that broke. This Nikon is vastly inferior. It is slow to 'focus' and slow to actually take pictures, so if you are trying to capture some event that will end, it won't. The quality/clarity of the pictures is also not so sharp, I think because it seems to have trouble 'focusing'. It also doesn't seem to focus on what you want, even if you put it in the exact center of the frame. I've tried moving the viewfinder, zooming in/out, etc, but I don't have much success. So it's quite a disappointment. The only nice thing is that it can zoom to 20x.

wanted a simple to operate camera. good, i think for people who are more sophisticated also, from what the employee showed me. of course i had to get my grandson to set it up. asked about simple help from best buy. they wanted to give me a seminar, the last time i bought a camera there, they showed me how to use it. now you have to pay ?

Like the 20x zoom. Used camera on recent vacation and came home with great pics.

The screen is hard to see in daylight, so I am never shre of the framiing of the picture. It is a lot of hit and miss. Thank goodness it is digita and taking several shots does not waste expensive filem.

I owned the predecessor to this camera, the Coolpix S6800 which was a major disappointment because of slow shutter speeds and an unpredictable flash. I expressed my concerns to a knowledgeable Best Buy rep and he assured me that Nikon fixed these problems and the S7000 would not disappoint. Well, he was right, the S7000 is much more responsive and always flashes when needed. It's a great little camera for the price, probably the best in its affordable price range.
