This camera is easy to use for the technically challenged. The picture quality is good. Both indoor and outdoor pictures are clear and crisp. The zoom is adequate for most situations. This is a good camera at a good price.

Got a super deal on this camera and it is a good pocket camera.

Camera is 16 megapixel and 20x optical zoom but is about the size of cigarette pack. It takes great pictures on the fully automatic setting but has a full range of photo options. The 20x zoom is the most you can hand hold so anything more requires a tripod. I'd buy this camera again!

I expected a great simple camera to use but most of the pictures it takes comes out of focus. Unless you take the picture perfectly still, the image comes out all blurry. So many times I end up trying to retake the picture resulting in missing "the moment" or not catching them at all. The indoor photos taken with a flash comes out looking TERRIBLE!! Everything comes out looking over exposed and bright...with the colors all wrong. Maybe I got a lemon but this is my experience with this camera. I wish I could return this camera and get a Canon. My previous camera was a Canon and it took great photos.

Grandma is almost completely blind but this camera had the largest display i could find and she can see the screen.

I had noticed that many of the big box stores no longer were carrying point and shoot digital cameras. I was told that people are using their cell phones instead. I made this purchase to upgrade from my previous Nikon which has a zoom of 12X. My new Nikon has a 20 X zoom. It's easy to operate and I love it!

Bought this as a gift for a friend. He is in love with this. He takes it with him everywhere. It's like a second phone for him. Hes a video blogger so when he was in search of a new camera I got him this.

If you are one of those from o/s US and are buying it considering its cheaper in US, its not the case as S7000 price o/s United States is cheaper compared to US. Also found the dial (to select the picture mode) too hard to operate. Hard as in physically hard.

I BOUGHT THE CAMERA THIS SUMMER FOR MY FAMILY REUNION AND I MUST SAY THE CAMERA TOOK SOME GREAT PICTURES , THEY WERE VERY CLEAR. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU BUY THIS CAMERA. THE PRICE WAS ALSO GREAT !

A few years ago I purchased my first Nikon - Coolpix because it had all the features I wanted in a camera. The size was perfect. Not too big and not too small. It was easy to use. Not a lot of buttons with directions. Automatic focusing so I didn't miss out on those special moments. Plus great quality. My pictures were clear, bright, clean, defined, focused and had the right amount of light. The only negative is after a few years I kept getting the "error" message. The camera quit taking pictures. I'm hoping my first camera is not typical of the Cool - Pix. line. Because of it's great value and positive features I still decided to purchase another one.

Good bang for the buck. The camera is light and takes nice photos. Unfortunately Nikon changed the battery type from the older model so I can't use the old ones as backup!! Argh!!

This camera is what you expect it would be. It's inexpensive and easy to use, but you do sacrifice some quality as a trade off. It's not bad by any means, but if you are looking for higher quality shots, spend more money on something nicer.
