    I did quite a bit of research so I got essentially what I expected. So far performance has been great and menus are readily accessible. I'll likely move to a full-frame camera eventually, but for now I'm happy with the 3400 and its capabilities.

    I brought this camera for an up coming trip and wanted to get some good pictures of my son playing sports .At first it appeared overwhelming, but after reading the information and following step by step, it was not so hard.

    18-55 kit lens included with this camera is pretty sharp, and works in low light with no issues. I won't recommend the 70-300 included with this camera, as they have no VR, and hence the pictures I took with them inside were of poor quality.
