Great beginner camera. Easy to use. Great shots. Nikon videos give you good insight

My kids are very involved in dance and also did team gymnastics last year. I wanted a camera which would give me good clear images in all kinds of lighting (you cannot use a flash of any kind at gymnastics meets). This camera and lenses combo has been WONDERFUL! The sports setting allowed me to get amazing action shots during gymnastics meets. I also has captured amazing stage images in the challenging lighting that comes with a dark auditorium. I have been having trouble with redeye, but will be adding an external flash to hopefully remedy this issue. I highly recommend this camera bundle!

I recently purchased to augment my Canon TX SLR and Nikon D3200 DSLR cameras. I have found the 3400 to overall be a great entry to mid level camera. I am still in the discovery phase but I have had no problems so far. From fully automatic to manually operated setting the pictures are good. Very nice to have the SD Card so waiting and wishing that the "film" comes out good is not a problem. My next project will be time exposures of night scenes.

I mostly use the auto or portrait setting, but attending the FREE camera sessions at Best Buy has helped me learn more about my canera's features.

got this camera for my wife for xmass gift and she loves it ready to go out of the box. easy to operate and simple to get use to how it works... she loves the when her camera connect to blue tooth and she can upload pics so fast.. this was a good buy ... i would say get one if you can... worth the money... :)

Always end up with a Nik, my first was a "F" that my grandfather gave me that he got in Japan. I have had 10, making this my 11th. Most good cameras have lots of features, this has this most and it is very reliable. The pictures always come out the best.

Great entry level camera love it and take great pics. Took a bit to get uae to setting but once i got the hang of it pics turned out great

I added this to my Nikon collection, and am so glad I did. The bonus 70/200 (auto) was exactly what I was looking for, especially for sports!

I had many cameras over the years,some have more features ,some less. But there was something about this camera that showed me it is not enough camera for the price, maybe I am getting older and miss the days of more manual controls, and bigger lenses with better quality..this is good for a beginner, but if you done advanced photography in the past, I would not recommend this camera. As for the Bestbuy- staff, they were polite and tech savvy - the store I went to was in Princeton, NJ. It was very clean,well stocked and a good floor layout.

I originally had the Nikon D3300 as my first entry level DSLR and loved it. For starting out it was perfect. I was getting ready to leave for vacation with the family and luckily I checked all my gear because the main board went out in it. I wen't into the store since I had Geek Squad Protection on the camera to see what could be done. Normally they send it out for service but since I was leaving in 2 days they went above and beyond what they had to do and replaced it with the D3400. So I didn't get to mess with it much before heading out. I really think the D3400 is a step backwards from the D3300. They've removed the accessory terminal which I didn't notice until I was in Garden of the Gods at 9:00 at night and couldn't find where to attach my wired interval timer. Also, if you're looking for a cheek camera for a Vlog or Youtube videos, they removed the Mic jack also. I'd recommend the D5500, especially at it's price right now of $600 for the kit, over the D3400.

DSLR are the way to go pro. the extra lense are really good quality, pictures taken look amazing.
