My old point and shoot camera was showing its age, I felt it was time to get a new one. I decided to look at DSLRs and was pleasantly surprised how affordable they'd become. I am thoroughly enjoying my Nikon D3400. Both the kit lens and the included telephoto lens produce excellent results, changing between lenses is quick and easy. I'm using automatic mode right now, It produces excellent results and lets me concentrate on getting used to basic framing and composition. It's nice to know that as I get more used to the camera, it will grow with me. I will also be able to take advantage of the wide array of Nikon lenses.

This camera was purchased to replace our aging Nikon D-40. Having the combination of the 55 mm and 300 mm lenses makes taking pictures in different situations and different distances fun and gives you the ability to get pics that the standard 55 mm lens wouldn't take. Nikon has continued to have a user friendly and easy to navigate menu. The included carrying case is high quality and provides extra protection in case of an accident. I do not believe you can find a better camera with more options and the reputation for quality that you get with Nikon in this price range. I highly recommend this combo for photographers of all skills.

The camera is light weight, easy to point and shot a picture. I brought the camera for my birthday while on vacation and I was able to take hundreds of pictures at Universal Studios.

High quality construction and easy to follow menu system. 11 focal points are enough for my use of the camera. Crisp, clear detailed pictures. Bluetooth set up easy and works.

This is my first DSLR camera and the instructions were very easy to follow to get started. I am still learning how to use all the different functions, but even the pictures I take just with it set on the auto mode look amazing. I am looking forward to knowing more about all the different features on the camera.

Bought this for my 14 year old daughter. She loves it. Easy set up. Takes great pictures - black/white and color. Action shots are great as well. Would definitely recommend this camera.

This was my first digital SLR camera and I am impressed. It has a lot of features and there is a learning curve, but practicing with these features gives you ideas of future photo opportunities. Be warned, you will need a lot of storage space if take a lot of photos on the highest settings with JPEG+RAW. Make sure to buy a fast high capacity memory car, especially for sports shots. I would also recommend buying an extra battery, just in case. I have not drained the battery, but started getting worried when only part way through an event. There are numerous accessories that can be bought. Very happy with purchase.

I’m still getting the hang of this camera but I totally feel like a professional when I bust this puppy out , and easy enough to use . Takes great pictures!

This camera is so easy to use and takes great photos. With the card, it's easy to pop out and stick in your computer to download photos.

This camera is so easy to use, my pictures look like they were taken by a professional. Even the app set up was a piece of cake and all my pics go straight to my phone.

After reviewing several different cameras, I decided on the Nikon. The price was excellent and the camera has performed better than expected. The quality of the pictures are excellent and it is very easy to learn how to use. The package deal came with 2 different lenses, a carry bag and dvd's to teach you how to use the camera.

Price point is amazing. The extra lens was outstanding! Nikon quality at it's best. And the best part is that it is Bluetooth ready. No need to buy additional equipment! Works great.

This is an amazing camera for a beginner! I fell it love with it after my first day. It's lightweight and the picture quality is outstanding. I love the guided help feature too!

Great camera easy to use and learn from. The package is nice, comes with two lenses. My only criticsm is that you had to buy a memory card, which I did not realize until I got home.

I loved my Sony camera but the battery life sucked. Nikon stays charged and doesn't drain the battery when not using. Great pictures and still learning the secrets.
