I have a Nikon D100, and it is a great camera, but I am now 72 yrs old and this body can't do all the things it could at one time. I opted to get the D3400 which is much lighter, and all I can say is Wow.

I bought this camera a month ago and absolutely love how user friendly it is. I love how you can easily transfer your pictures to your phone with the app, SnapBridge. There are so many different settings I have yet to try out. It takes great 'motion' pictures. I have a one year old who is always on the move and getting a decent picture of him was almost impossible until I got this camera. I haven't had any issues and would highly recommend it to anyone. It's definitely worth the money!

I have a Nikon F SLR film camera with multiple interchangeable lenses that I've used for years. I wanted to transfer to digital photography. Film and film processing options are getting to be more rare. When this package went on sale at Best Buy, I decided it was time to make the move. Most of the controls are intuitive, although I have a ways to go to become proficient in the Program and manual modes. With some training and practice, I'm going to have a lot of fun.

I love the quality of photos from this camera and the features it has. It allows for exploration and for a great hobby.

Switched from sony and find this one pretty descent and good entry camera, the only reason for 4 stars is connectivity and filters option maneuverability other than that excellent image, battery is super good, speed and overall quality.

Was in the camera business many, many years ago. When I decided to get a camera again after all these years I was delighted to see how much this field had evolved, and for the better. The camera, a Nikon D3400, even though it's an entry level camera in the DSLR category , is astoundingly versatile and is capable of producing a great image. I was also amazed that the lenses from my 40+ year old Nikon would fit on a new camera made in 2016/17. That speaks volumes about this company.

Light weight and still don't sacrifice in all the options a full DSLR can have. Took it to MachuPicchu and for its easiness to carry was great, also, great price for 2 desired lenses: wide regular lene plus a telescopic lens
