If you're just starting out, then buy something cheaper. This was my first DSLR, so I wish I din' spend so much money on my first cam.

Took this camera on our vacation to the mountains and was able to take great pictures of scenery and of my family. Definitely noticed the improved photo quality compared to my point and shoot camera.

Have wanted a nice high end camera for years. Unfortunately, the thousands of pictures taken were primarily cell phone pictures. Couldn't justify the price, or my lack of knowledge in purchasing a camera for several thousands of dollars. This Nikon is the perfect fit for family and event photo taking. Not overwhelmed with having to learn features.

I compared a number of mid-range sale cameras before making my purchase. Every time I looked at other brands, I kept coming back to the Nikon 3400 combo package. This kit has a great camera with a ton of features often found in much more expensive models. The sales person at Best Buy was extremely helpful & the purchase a no-brained. I did get the 3-yr warrantee in case I get clumsy and break something. I love the "bridge" feature which was easy to set up after checking the instructions. Both lenses are nice and compliment each other. I would have liked a case, but for the sale price, I am not complaining. So far- I love it. Will get a second battery soon. Recommend getting this camera if the price is right.

It is so much easier and lighter to use than previous versions. The only thing I don't like is that they keep changing batteries. The "free" camera bag was not available and had to be shipped later.

This camera takes amazing pictures. Plan on not using the snapbridge app as it doesn't work at all on iOS and it's a crapshoot on Android. It literally is the most uselss app ever designed and it's pretty pathetic Nikon can't come up with a solution considering how much people pay for these cameras. Other than that it's a very nice camera

My son uses to vlog and make car pics perfect choice so far

I have to say that I thought it was just going to be a step up from the camera I had before, but it was so much more than that. There is so much that I can do with it, and I am very happy with it.

My second Nikon camera,,, this is a great camera for those that love photography as a hobby. While I am still learning the camera/settings/highlights of the camera... I feel that it was a great purchase and camera for me. I like what it has to offer although for the price... a camera bag and photo card should have been included. It was expensive!

Bought this for my girlfriend for her birthday and was amazed at the pictures it takes. She loves to take pictures of nature and the zoom lense it comes with is perfect for that!

My fiancé knows nothing about photography but this camera is easy to use and links directly to her phone where she can save pictures. The extra zoom lens is awesome and the bag it comes with is nice.

Great camera for starters. Battery holds a good charge

I bought this camera as a beginner into taking my own pictures and editing them. I just had a baby and the pictures look great. I still. We’d to figure out all the settings.

Michelle has an interest in photography...she researched many makes & models....the Nikon D3400 was the best one !!! It takes beautiful pictures....she is very pleased with the quality....

This was my first camera purchase and I can't overstate how easy and fun it is to use. I've been using it in class and have learned a lot about it. Would recommend it to beginners and veterans alike.

Before buying This gem I was Confused between canon T6 and Nikon D3400. Afrer comparison and reviews, came to a decision on Nikon which turned so far perfect choice with great deals of free items

This camera is easy to operate and I love the color

I'm still learning my way around this camera, and how to get the most out of it, but I'm already in love. Even just with the auto settings I am able to capture the images I want in stunning detail.
