    Perfect camera upgrade!

I recently purchased the Nikon D750 DSLR Camera with AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR Lens in Black from Best Buy. I am amazed with the performance of the camera body as well as the lens that came with it. I had been borrowing my parents’ camera for a few years, a Nikon D3000. I did a lot of research after saving enough money to purchase my own camera, and decided the Nikon D750 would be a good fit for me. I do mostly portrait work, including seniors, children, and families. The Nikon D750 has been a dream to work with thus far. A few of the features I enjoy the most are the double memory card slots, battery life, and accessibility options. Memory Card Slots: Upgrading from a D3000 is a HUGE step. You now have capability to use 2 memory cards at the same time. This is perfect for days that you are shooting more than one family, a wedding, large events, whatever it may be. Worrying about switching memory cards is not a concern while using this camera, which resolves stress. Battery Life: The battery is also very impressive. When purchasing the bundle from Best Buy, a spare battery is included. This is a nice bonus, especially since both of the batteries are very long lasting. I have shot multiple sessions in one day with the use of only one battery; at the end of the day the battery still had life left. Accessibility Options: One of my favorite features of this camera body is the ability to switch settings with ease. Photographers are always focusing on what is in the frame and it is helpful to be able to adjust settings quickly. The settings are customizable and easy to adjust, even while shooting. The Nikon D750 is a great investment for photographers. The price may seem high if you are a first time photography equipment purchaser, but this really is a great deal. If you are looking for a camera to take your images to the next level, this is a great buy for you. Overall, the camera performs very well and I am more than pleased with my purchase!

    Powerful Camera at Midrange Prize

I upgraded from entry level dslr and could not be happier. The camera is larger and heavier than the entry, but that is expected. The lens that comes with the package has great range for close up and mid range shooting. The full frame viewfinder really helps, great improvement from entry camera.

    Best Christmas gift ever

Got this camera as a Christmas gift this year. I mentioned that I was looking to upgrade from my starter D3300 and this is the one I would purchase. Santa did not disappoint! This camera takes superb photos and is EXCELLENT in low light. Came with a battery grip, which I personally prefer to use since it makes the camera easier to hold in my opinion. On the fence? Just buy it! I can assure you that you will NOT be disappointed.

I purchased this camera last year for Christmas and it was the best investment i made in the holidays. The quality of the shots, colors, detail has been amazing. I had D3100 previously, and yes there is a difference on the sensor, but still I don’t see myself getting a new camera for a while.

This is a fantastic camera! I had used a D90 for the last 8-10 years and decided to go full frame. I only wish I had done it earlier. Every detail about this camera is a giant step up from the D90. It was well worth the extra money.

I had a Nikon d5100 before and this is a BIG boy camera. You can really tell how much sharper and cleaner the pictures are. I use it for travel and landscape mostly and it has great lighting!

I love this camera. It's the best I have ever used. I thought it would be too complicated for me to use the extra features, but I am learning fast.

    Questionable repair

This is a follow-up to my review of Sept 6, 2016, describing a "burned in image" inside the viewfinder. I will start by saying that the gentleman at the Florence, Ky Best Buy store did satisfactorily resolve the problem, by replacing the camera and adjusting the charge for 3 year Geek a Squad protection. But I have great concern with the warranty service provided by Best Buy. I am not a novice with a camera, and have always taken extreme caution and excellent care of my cameras for more than forty years. I have always used Minolta and Sony, and continue to use them today. I purchased the Nikon 750 in October, 2015, and noticed the "burn-in" in the viewfinder in September, 2016. I returned the Nikon D750 to Best Buy, Fields Ertel location in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the original box with all of the original packaging, to be sent out for repair (I do not know if it was sent to an authorized Nikon repair facility or was examined by the Geek squad). After approximately 10 days, I was notified that the camera was approved for replacement, due to "impact damage", which is not covered by the manufacturers warranty, but WAS covered by the Geek Squad warranty, which would replace the camera. The problem???? The camera was never dropped, mishandled, and was in perfect condition when I turned it in for repair. I am upset that I now be would be responsible for purchasing another warranty for the replacement camera at a cost of 299.00!!! My concern is that I have no recourse, as the camera was not returned to Best Buy, and I have no validation of the stated impact damage. I feel that the "impact damage" statement is simply to void the manufacturers warranty. As I earlier stated, the Florence, Ky Best Buy store did adjust the warranty price (there has been a price drop of 200.00 on the camera since I originally purchased 11 months ago), but I have significant reservations towards any major future purchases with Best Buy due to this incident.. Lastly, each email update that I received from the Geek Squad lists the phone number 1-800-433-5778, available "24/7", for questions, etc concerning the repair. I attempted to call to obtain information, however, the hours for this service are 7am to 11pm, NOT 24/7 as stated.

The D750 is an amazing camera. Not too pricey but well build, great image quality and the unbelievable focus system perform perfect even in low light. Plus wi-fi build in and the tilt LCD. I am glad I have waited that long and purchased D750.
