Best Buy sold me a recalled camera! Every dealer was told to return their stock to Nikon when the z8 was recalled. I bought mine only to find out they did not remove it from the store shelf. I am beyond upset.

A Great Camera, no doubt, but heavier than I had anticipated. I loved the camera but due to its weight, I begrudgingly returned it. The features are quite incredible, but I could see fatigue set in for me on a long shoot. I decided to stick with my D5 and D750. I love the weight of my D5.

The camera is lovely, Best Buy's return policy for cameras is awful. Literally anywhere else has a no restocking fee.

    An all-around camera!

The nikon Z8 camera is an all-round camera with excellent photography and video equipment. Landscape, people, sports, birds, and news photography are all ideal, and it is a commendable camera. However, the fly in the ointment is: 1/ There is no Chinese menu, and I have to pay $60 out of my own pocket to send the camera to the Nikon service center in order to install a Chinese menu. The United States is a multi-ethnic country, why does Nikon camera not have Chinese and other multi-language languages? Adding a Chinese menu is at your own expense! 2/ My Z8 camera may unfortunately be recalled due to the camera hanging buckle falling off, and now I am waiting in the queue for "free mail notification". My Z8 has to go to the Nikon service center again, which not only affects my use, but also makes people very uneasy. This is a high-end camera worth more than 4,000 US dollars! I hope that Nikon will strictly manage product quality!

I was on the fence about buying the z9 due to size until i saw the z8 confirmed for this year. It's everything I wanted in the z9 but compact. I was never impressed with either z6 or z7. Both ware nice cameras but wasnt worth the upgrade for me yet. The z8 does all I want for photoe and video.

Quite the full featured camera! Though few talk about it there is a somewhat unique feature that’s… very unique. Almost no digital cameras have illuminated buttons. I cant be the only one who sometimes is in a darker situation (not to mention if you wver want to take photos of the moon or stars. Anyway, all the usual great advanced features are here. One disappointment is the lcd just doesnt fully rotate. Why??!

Great camera! The Nikon Z9 is Baby Nikon Z9. One of the fastest full frame sensor read-out. Best full frame camera currently out that competes with other brand flagship. Fully loaded fatures like a stacked sensor, pre capture, in body Video Raw options and more for $4k.

    Terrible company, faulty camera.

This camera has now officially had 2 service issues where it requires sending into nikon. The one that i have also overheats with a hot card warning very quickly. Within 10 minutes of shooting 5-10 second clips every 30 or 45 seconds even on overcast days in 80 degree weather. This is 3 issues after having the camera for less then 45 days. As a working professinal i do not have the option to send it to nikon and wait for it to be sent back. Tried to explain this to best buy but since its past the 15 day window they will not let me return it so i can buy a z9 instead. I called best buy service department they said have nikon authorize a return with an email and so i did. The store still refused to let me return the faulty camera. Best buy service department on the phone then had a convorsation with the manager of the store i was in (355 in spokane valley) and told him it can be returned, again he refused. So now im stuck with a $4,000 camera that not only overheats where I could potentually lose someones wedding clips, but it also has the possiblity to detach my lens or to fall off the camera strap and hit the ground. To say I am furious is an understatment. I would NOT buy a z8 until nikon fixes all of these issues and i would highly recommend no one buy anything from best buy. Very corrupt company when multiple people from multiple departments tell you that you can return it of you jump through hoops and once you do, the in store manager tells you no and that it doesnt matter what anyone else says.
