Ninja raised the bar!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So if you are thinking traditional coffee machine, stop thinking! This Ninja system makes coffee and tea in ways that have not traditionally been available for the home all in one (at least affordable ones). The carafe is stainless steel which is a huge bonus. I believe it is also vacuum sealed on the sides which can keep your coffee/tea colder/hotter for longer periods. The system comes with a scoop that has measurements for both coffee and tea, which take the guess work out of it, depending on the size of serving you are making. The pull-out frother is good, though it does not steam or warm the liquid. For tea, it has a different basket you use and you can place tea bags or loose tea on it. You can serve directly into a cup or the included carafe. One thing that I found very interesting, is you can actually calibrate the machine for altitude settings (since water boils at lower temperatures at altitude). This keeps a consistent taste on your coffee and tea. Overall, I recommend this machine, as it is versatile, quick, and easy to use. Included is also a book with 40 coffee and tea recipes which I will be going through over the next few months :)

Water leaking machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The water reservoir leaks and there is no warmer on the bottom to keep the coffee hot. Not happy with this coffee maker, taking it back today.

Posted .We are very sorry to hear that your system is leaking. We are happy to assist you with this. Please share your contact information, as well as a brief description of the issue, with us via [email protected]. This system does not include a warming plate due to the thermal carafe, as the warming plate would damage the thermal carafe.

Awesome!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using a Keurig system for the past 3 years or so... I've really missed having a pot of coffee.... When I go this, I tried it out right away the next morning. Easy to use out of the box... Took it right out, put the reusable coffee filter in the unit, and plugged it in. I love that this unit has so many different ways to make coffee... its truly custom. From different sizes like a small mug, to an XL travel mug, to a full pot... to rich, over ice, cold brew, etc.... This coffee system will do it all! Its just as custom for Tea as well, from black tea, to Oolong.... you are guaranteed to find the setting that is right for you. The coolest feature is the fold away milk frother... its not something I use every day, but when you want to impress someone or treat yourself... it sure is nice to have! It's also easy to remove and clean! I haven't used my Keurig since I got this...

The Swiss Army Knife of Coffee Makers
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This coffee maker does it all! And it does it really well also. I love the detachable water tank, it's super easy to fill and use. The various settings are easy to get to and the whole machine is very intuitive to use. It came with a little booklet full of ideas for different flavors and types of coffees and teas and I'm planning on buying a bunch of ingredients and making at least half of them. The delay feature is really nice so I can set it to make my coffee right before I wake up so I can wake to the aroma. The coffee/tea measure scoop is a nice touch, but the measurements are a bit to much... I would recommend the lower of the scoop recommendations. The Cold Brew setting isn't really cold brew, it's more like a warm brew, and the brew size setting doesn't seem to work right on cold brew either, it only brewed about half of what I had it set for on both coffee and tea settings. I'm not a big fan of the included pot or the fact that there is no warming plate either as my pot actually got cold faster than my double wall stainless mug did, and with both being metal there is no option to microwave without first pouring into a microwave safe glass. And one last negative: It's very large, and you will need to allow space on one side for the frother wand, space on the water tank side to remove the tank and reinstall it, and space above it for adding the Coffee/Tea and filters etc..

AMAZING
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel as though I never truly understood what it meant to have a good cup of coffee brewed at home until now. I am certainly no coffee connoisseur (snob) by any means, but this coffee maker might get me there. PROS: - Flavor: The best tasting cups of coffee I have ever brewed for myself. - Variety: COLD BREW. Also tea & specialty drinks in any size you could want - Features: Very nice carafe that not only keeps drinks at temperature for a long time but is cool to the touch on the outside, Milk frother (cold or hot), scoop with measurement indicators and a dedicated holder, drip stop, etc. Con(?) - It's fairly expensive. I have purchased a travel thermos simply to bring this coffee with me to work becuase I now refuse to drink the coffee made at my office. Buy this coffee maker. You will not be dissapointed

A perfect brewer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Ninja brewer is perfect for both tea and coffee. Out of the box there is a lot to clean and put together. A water tank, the carafe and its lid, each basket for both coffee and tea and their permanent filters, and the milk frother whisk Once plugged in and powered on, the controls are very easy to use and a very informative guide can direct you through all the procedures. The top knob controls the brew size, and can select from a single cup all the way to a full carafe. A fold down arm inside the fill area is used to set your coffee or tea cup on for individual brews. The guide give approximate sizes for each in oz. so you know if your cup is big enough. The second knob controls what type of brew you want to make. It will naturally default to the left side choices. The machine auto recognizes whether you have the coffee or tea baskets installed, and will display COFFEE or TEA on the control panel. When the tea basket is installed, you can push the green leaf button on the control panel and it will allow access to the tea brew panel where you can select from different kinds of tea you are going to brew. Also included on the control panel is a drip stop button, so you can pour a cup of coffee or tea during the brew cycle. It also has a brew delay button that lets you set up your brew for when you wake up or whenever. It is very easy to use. The Coffee basket does require #4 cone filters, either bleached or unbleached if you choose not to use the permanent filter. The permanent filter is a high quality gold filter and does a good job with brewing, but you can't use coffee grounds that are finely ground, as they can seep through the screen and into your coffee. I prefer paper filters over the permanent. The tea basket permanent filter is small and can be a minor annoyance to fit correctly in the tea basket. It should be used with loose leaf tea, and doesn't need to be used with tea bags. The water storage container is clear and holds 1 carafe full of water. It has markings for each brew size as well if you don't want to make a full carafe. It is important to not fill the water past the max line, and there is also a little tab on the inside when filling that says max on it and should be filled just to the bottom of that tab. On first start, after filling the water reservoir, you are required to run 2 brew cycles to prime the system. This needs to be done with out anything in the brew baskets. During this it brewed a full carafe in just under 8 minutes, steaming hot. It also comes with a scooper for all different measurement sizes of coffee on the top of the scooper and tea on the bottom. It attaches nicely to the side of the coffee maker. The milk frother whisk attaches easily to the fold out arm and produces nice froth with either hot or cold milk. Included is a recipe book for different coffees and teas both hot, and over ice. As for the brewing, everything I have brewed has been perfect. Classic coffee, Iced coffee, Iced Black Tea, and hot green tea have all been excellent. This thing almost does it all. Overall I would highly recommend. Besides all the parts that have to be cleaned, this does a great job and brews perfectly every time. I recommend reading the user guide on all the different types of brewing, and also trying out some of the recipes from the book!

What you can expect from Ninja
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying, I am completely into the cold brew coffee trend. I love getting it at Starbucks or buying the bottled version from them. But that gets pricey. I was super excited to see this Hot/Cold Brew system from Ninja. I already have a Ninja blender/food processor/spiralizer, and I swear by that thing. So between the cold brew features and being from Ninja, this was a no brainer for me. Set-up was super easy and so is the making of the actual coffee. It seems like a small thing, but including a scoop for measuring the coffee is an awesome bonus for me. As you might guess, the first thing I tried making was cold brew. The instructions say to use an extra scoop of coffee for cold brew, no matter what size you're making. I made an XL cup and used four of the small scoops. It takes about 10 minutes to brew a cup of cold brew. As any purist can tell you, that's not a true cold brew which takes around 12 hours. The coffee comes out lukewarm. For me, I think the extra scoop was a mistake. The coffee definitely had some extra acidity/sharpness. On my second batch, I didn't use the extra scoop of coffee and liked it better. However, for me, this isn't cold brew that you can drink black like what you get from Starbucks. It needed some creamer/milk (just a little to cut through the sharpness). I should also add that I was using a cheaper coffee. I'll be trying it with some better quality coffee in my next brew. The verdict on the cold brew is, it's not true cold brew, but it's still a good cup of coffee (and way cheaper this way!). The other features on the system are what truly made it 5 stars though. I love the milk frother. It doesn't heat the milk, but it really does froth/foam up your milk. I actually used it on my almond milk creamer and it was like whipping cream. When I poured it over the coffee, it rested on top because it was so light! Delay Brew works perfectly so you can get everything set up the night before and come out to a freshly made cup of coffee in the morning. I'm also a big iced tea drinker and this thing will do iced tea too! You can even use loose tea leaves in it! I have yet to actually make tea in it, but I'd imagine it will be very similar to the cold brew coffee. I really have no complaints. The cold brew was pretty much what I expected and everything else was more than I expected. Before this system, I had a regular coffee pot and a single cup brewer. This replaced both. It has an awesome shelf that you can put down for a cup instead of the full carafe and you can brew one perfect cup at a time. So happy with this, and I can't wait to try some of the speciality coffees/teas (it comes with a book with 40 recipes). Highly recommend!

Good at first. Waste of money!!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased last Jan 20202. Was so excited to get this when our coffee maker broke. Thinking it was a great upgrade. For a couple of uses the coffee tastes good. But after just a week the coffee tastes bland. Also the coffee isn’t that hot, even warming the creamer that I’m using with my coffee. You can drink your coffee straight right after brewing! I haven’t done any cold drinks with it yet, so I can’t attest to that.

Best Brewing Machine Ever
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE that Ninja came out with a coffee/tea brewer. I love my tea and now can even cold brew it for ice tea without all the hastle. I love cold brewed coffee at the coffee shops and this is just as good. It has 6 different setttings for the size of coffee you desire or even a half or whole carafe. It has a sleek design and a spot on the coffeemaker itself to store the mesauring spoon and a frother that folds into the machine itself. This is a REALLY nice feature so that you don't lose either or have to hunt for them.

Rare Versatility and Efficiency Together
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I am a coffee lover, I just cannot drink coffee after lunch unless I need to stay up all night. For that reason, I have used coffee brewers to prepare tea after the morning hours but the mix of flavor is not enjoyable to say the least. This Ninja Hot & Cold Coffee Maker takes care of that by providing separate baskets for coffee and tea. The versatility is fantastic. I now can make just a single cup or any of six sizes of coffee or tea while selecting one of the five styles available. I love it. If you knew me, you would not be surprised that I love “smart” devices. Although this does not connect to a phone or is it controlled by Alexa, it has some cool and useful features such as being able to recognize the basket and thus changes the display with the appropriate drink options. I don’t have to worry about the temperature of the tea type I choose: it knows!!! And it doesn’t care whether it’s bagged or not. Hey, even my 9-year-old daughter fell in love with it when it turned cold milk into a smooth froth super fast. The whisk folds away easily. I made a cappuccino this morning and skipped Starbucks. The only thing I missed was my friends that I usually meet there but I loved saving a few bucks. I enjoy easy-to-use gadgets and this is one of those. Guys like me love reading manuals – NOT! – but this is as intuitive as can be. Yes…it comes with a user manual and I recommend you to read it but I didn’t feel the need to. Just read the options on the display and use the dials which are very easy to read and take a deep breath to enjoy the smell. The included carafe kept my coffee hot for over a couple of hours but it needed to be hand washed which is a bit disappointing. Also, the carafe is included because the system does not keep your coffee/tea hot. I am ok with that but I really wish it had a burner to keep it warm. Considering all the features and versatility, I am more than happy to rate it five stars.

High Tech Coffee & Tea
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My kitchen has been slowly being taken over by Ninja appliances ever since I first tried out one of their coffee bars a few years ago. Their products tend to be fairly traditional designs augmented with an abundance of tech to help out those of us who don't have the experience needed to use it to full effect. So, when I saw that their latest version of that coffee bar had been augmented to be even smarter and handle tea as well as coffee, I was more than intrigued. And this thing does not disappoint. As one would expect with a Ninja product, all the parts are sturdy and of high quality. The stainless steel thermal carafe is large and easy to clean, the moving parts are all firm and well protected from accidental bumps, and the new reservoir design is easy to pop on and off when it needs to be filled. Not only that, they've improved on the previous model with standard gold filters for both coffee and tea, and added a setting for cold brew. Operation is dead simple. The filter you insert will tell the machine what drink you're trying to make. You select brew strength and serving size with a pair of knobs, and if you happen to be using tea you also tell it what kind. Then you just hit start and in a few minutes you've got a fantastic brew ready to go, and it really is some of the tastiest stuff I've ever seen come out of a machine. Even better, the machine will automatically seal the nozzle to prevent any drips from leaving stains on the machine once you've removed your cup or the carafe. It's even got a clock so that you can wake up to the fresh beverage of your choice. I could probably go on about all the different kinds of things you can do with this, but frankly if I haven't convinced you yet that this is one of the best coffee makers on the market I don't think I'm going to. I'd highly recommend trying one out for yourself and seeing what I mean.

Brew for any size
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This coffee maker is really nice. The carafe keeps the coffee hot for a long time without worrying about leaving a warming plate on. I also like that since it's not glass, I don't have to worry about breaking it. I've tried all the different brewing amounts with good results. I like the option for XL cups for when I want to use my really big mugs. I haven't experimented with the frother or making tea with it, but I like that there is the option to.

Cold Brew Worthy!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Where do I start? That’s easy... I just brewed my first batch of caramel cold brew coffee and it’s sweet and packs a punch I needed this morning. I had the previous model of Ninja coffee system so getting this one was so easy to jump on! It’s the perfect system for a home that has different tastes. If you want to make a mug at a time or pitchers at a time you can so there are variables to play with that make it easy to turn out coffee to everyone in the home. Having visitors all the time, each of them likes different coffee styles so I love this machine. Being in Texas the tea function is going to come in handy next summer and when I have a cold so I’m excited to try that. My only downfall for this system is that it doesn’t have a “no drip” switch like the previous one which prevented drips of coffee from falling when you took out the pitcher. I still think it’s the best next to a super professional system which I’m not ready to grab just yet.

Hot and Cold!!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been impressed with Ninja kitchen applicances in the past. Having a Ninja blender and coffee maker I wanted to see what the new Ninja Hot and Cold Brew Coffee Pot was all about. It lives up to the Ninja name in build and quality and the end product is what I expected. My wife LOVES her coffee and getting her to switch from anything that works is usually a challenge. She saw nothing wrong with our old Ninja coffee machine but I do love to mix it up with coffee and iced tea and the new Ninja looked like it could fit both of our needs. It comes with two baskets/filters. One for hot brew and one for cold brew. The front dial control recognizes which basket you have inserted and adjusts the selection options accordingly. We've been using it a few days for hot brew coffee and finally tried cold brew coffee today. Both options provide great beverages. We also both like the thermal carafe. It keeps the heat and cold longer than a glass carafe of our previous maker. We also like the frothing feature and the ability to make a single cup with a simple setting. It's attractive on the counter but it might be too tall for some under counter spaces so check it's height with your situation before you grab one of these. If you are into cold brew or iced tea you should give this brewer a try. You won't be disappointed.

Brews great except when brewing a full carafe
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It brews great coffee when you do a half carafe or smaller and over ice. The frother option was great. I never used the cold brew or specialty so I can't comment on those. The con is that if you brew a full carafe, the grounds seem to go up and then the top (holes where water comes through) get covered. So then you are stuck cleaning/wiping that every time you use it and sometimes gets the grounds in the coffee. I use the full carafe every morning so if it weren't for that, I would have loved to keep it but I had to take it back.

Coffee? Tea?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own the first incarnation of the Ninja with stainless carafe and it has served me faithfully for the last 2 full years, so when this unit became available I jumped at the opportunity. First off, this unit has a stylish modern look. It is as attractive as it is functional. Separate filters for coffee and tea plus a built in frother. Nice. I love the recipe book and since I love coffee of all types I'm having fun taste testing. Others have mentioned the different modes and accomedation for different sizes ranging from a cup to a well insulated 50 ounce stainless steel carafe. That is perhaps my most appreciated feature. With a sealed insulated stainless system, there's no burner/warmer which honestly burns the coffee. The insulated carafe more than keeps your tasty beverage hot. One last thing is the Ninja is as fast as its namesake when it comes to brewing coffee/tea. Psst, use a touch less coffee or tea because this Ninja delivers a very full flavored beverage. Enjoy yall!

Love It
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've really enjoyed using this machine and haven't even tested out the cold brew or tea brewing options yet. If you're coming from an older coffee machine this will be a pretty drastic improvement. Being able to brew single servings without having to use K-cups is an excellent feature that is more cost effective and produces less waste, which is important to us. My favorite thing about this device? It makes coffee at what I'd consider to be the perfect temperature. Just perfect. Nice and hot without being scalding. The carafe is really excellent, too, and will keep your coffee warm for well over an hour. The whole thing is just really well made and thought out, the display is nice and bright, the knobs and layout are intuitive, and the little milk frother is a great added bonus. Simple to use, simple to clean, and tucks away nicely. All in all, very happy!

What a great coffee maker!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been Keurig users for a long time and have decided to go back to convential style coffee makers. First of all, it is pretty much ready to use right out of the box. The only assembly required is to attach the frother. Easy. It comes with two baskets, one for coffee and one for tea. The baskets are also filters, but you can use cone filters if you like. Just like the name says, it brews hot and cold. Cold brewing is completely new to me and I have to say how surprised I am at how different both coffee and tea taste when brewed cold. The hot coffee and tea that makes is delicious, but the cold brewing really sets this coffee maker apart from the rest. Everything produced by this machine has been delicious! Pop a tea bag, put a cup of ice under it, set the cup size on the machine, and voila! Delicious iced tea without having to make a big pitcher! The machine comes with a recipe book that has all kinds of different coffee and tea concoctions for you to make and try. This machine works seamlessly as all Ninja products seem to do, and the output is great! You can’t go wrong with this coffee maker.

Makes Good Hot Coffee
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for a no frills coffee maker to give us a pot of hot coffee that tastes good every morning. When I found this one, I was skeptical since it does so much more. After using it for while now, we love all of the options to make a good hot or cold coffee drink. Yes it makes really good hot coffee. Actually the coffee tastes much better in this than the brand name pod brewer we replaced. The insulated carafe keeps coffee hot enough for us all morning. I like the different drink size options. You can fill anything from a mug to a whole pot. The cold brewer makes fantastic cold brew. Haven't tried making tea with it yet, but I'm sure it will make good tea as well.
