Great deal an outstanding Air Fryer with double the cooking power and options for meal choices.

Bad product, it’s been 2 weeks since i bought this, while cleaning the external back area of the fryer, i noticed a dent, from the rear top cover, it’s melting! That could a cause FIRE! If not attended. Beware of this model.. for safety reasons..

Available now is Ninja's Foodi Smart XL 2-Basket Air Fryer. It offers a variety of cooking options. The package comes with the air fryer and paperwork only. The manufacturer's warranty is for 1 year. PROS: --------- * Solid build, durable construction * Easy-to-use controls, Ninja keeps it simple * Included is a food thermometer which you can use for certain foods while cooking (ie. whole mini-chicken); however, I did not use this option since I did use food that required this. * Having the option to cook 2 things at once but finish at the same time is the best feature about this small appliance. * The bins are non-stick and clean easily * The removable pan at the bottom of each bin has rubber pieces at the corners to keep it in place when you need to shake the bin or empty it out. This keep the bottom from falling on top of your food if you turn it upside down. I'm unsure how the rubber will hold up over time though. I found that using tongs to get some items out worked great too. * Dishwasher safe bins and inside trays may make it easier for some people. Given these have rubber stops on the corners of the inside plates, I personally like to hand-wash those so they will last longer. * If you have 2 of the same item to cook (or "like" items) that require identical temps and times, there is a function you can use called Match Cook which will match both bins' temp/times with the press of a button. CONS: --------- * The rubber feet/grips holding the bottom plates in the bins can create enough friction that might make them a little tough to pull out because of the limited space to put your fingers on the center "pull" area. OTHER OBSERVATIONS: ------------------------------------ * A misconception regarding this machine's Smart Finish function (and one I had at first) is that if you enter 2 different items to cook at different temperatures with different times, this machine DOES NOT cook them both at the same time while adjusting temperatures so they finish at the same time. It's a much more BASIC concept. The machine simply doesn't start cooking the less-timed item until the clock counts down from the other time and hits that time. While the longer-timed item is cooking, the other item is simply "On-Hold" and sits there. Now depending on how long that hold time is may determine whether or not you want to cook both at once (if an item can't be thawed for extended time). * It has spacers on the back side to prevent the unit from being flush against a wall or other item. See picture. * I found that most of the cooking times are usually on the upper end of the time range to get to the correct "doneness", especially raw chicken wings and raw potatoes. On "already-cooked" frozen items, this was not an issue. CONCLUSION: ============ Disclaimer: I only used this small appliance as an "air fryer". It claims to have other functions like bake, reheat, roast, and dehydrate, but frankly, if I'm going to bake something with LESS of a mess, I can simply use a small portable oven. It's much easier to clean a baking tray (or no mess at all if you put down aluminum foil) than have to clean an air fryer basket and tray. So for my purposes, I only air-fried items since that's really the main function of the appliance. I cooked raw cut potatoes, frozen chicken wings, frozen chicken strips, frozen chicken nuggets, and frozen fries. Everything turned out great, and cooking 2 different items at different temps/times worked out really well. All items were cooked thoroughly including the raw items, and they turned out very tasty. If you like a more crispy french fry, you will want to cook on the upper end of the time range suggested in the booklet. Be sure to toss the contents of the basket 1-2 times during cooking or they may cook uneven or stick together. Overall, a great product that gives the options for multi-food cooking. With my other air fryer, I could only cook 1 thing while I baked my other item in a nearby small oven. Now I can do it all at once while using Smart Finish to have it complete at the same time. Great product! Definitely recommend.

I love my new Ninja Foodi 6-in-1 dual basket air fryer. It comes in handy during the summer when it's hot outside and I don't want to heat up the kitchen and for when I want to cook healthier with little to no oil. It allows me to cook two things at once so I can cook wings and tots or a whole chicken and a vegetable. One side has a thermometer so I can put bigger cuts of meat in that side and feel confident it'll come out perfectly done. The air fryer is easy to clean, too. The drawers can be cleaned with soapy water, or if you don't want to do that, you can use paper or silicone inserts to keep the inside of your air fryer cleaner. The air fryer isn't overly tall either so it will easily fit on the counter under cabinets. It would make an excellent gift for newlyweds, or college kids, or anyone who wants to eat healthier. It's so versatile!

After 4 month the handles started to flake. Ninja is charging us to fix. They are saying it is not a warranty issue this is just ware and tear

This airfryer is terrific!! It does so much more, baking etc. Love the dual baskets and they are large enough to put a whole chicken in it!! Definitely worth the money!!

My family has enjoyed owning our single basket air fryer, which was great for bringing frozen food to life with no oil and has saved us a lot of money from eating out. The Ninja offers those same great basic benefits with double the capacity and some very handy features to make the whole process easier. (((Pros))) 1. We have owned a few Ninja products and they have all been reliable, well designed, and well built. This dual air fryer is no exception: Everything fits together well and there is a storage compartment for the meat probe. It is very easy to clean: The baskets are non-stick and can just be rinsed with some soapy water and wiped out. The control panel is smooth and easy to wipe off. There are also built-in handholds in the case for easy carrying. 2. The controls are easy to use and understand. There are quick reference instructions on the sides of the case and a detailed instruction manual. The drawers are labeled on the handles and line up with the selector for that drawer. The meat probe is slotted so it can only be plugged in the correct way and there is a built-in notch for the cord in drawer 1. There is a pause button that lets you flip and resumes where you left off on both drawers to keep them in sync. (((Experience))) We loved the feature called Smart Finish where the air fryer can hold one side so that they both finish at exactly the same time. 1. We cooked our usual fish sticks and fries as a quick snack for the kids. This time the fries were done exactly at the same time as the fish sticks - no waiting. Everything was cooked perfectly. 2. Next we decided to use the small recipe book that is included to make something for the adults. We decided to try the chicken and Brussels sprouts that are shown right on the box. We used Smart Finish, but this time we used the meat probe to set a pre-set temperature for chicken and followed the instructions for timing on the Brussels sprouts. Everything came out great. The chicken had a nice crisp on the skin, was moist on the inside and the Brussels sprouts were done at the same time. Up next we are going to try Match Cook, which allows you to use one setting to control both baskets, to make different flavored wings at the same time. (((Things to Consider))) 1. The cord is only 33" long and you need to find a spot with a 15amp breaker without a lot of other appliances on it. We tripped our breaker the first time and had to move to another outlet (for some reason our fridge, island outlets and microwave are on the same circuit). 2. I think the size is great for the capacity it offers, and it actually stays pretty cool, but it is about 5" wider than our old single air fryer so you have to have some counter space.

I love my Ninja Air Fryer! It's the best kitchen appliance I've ever owned. I use it almost every day to cook everything from chicken and fish to vegetables and fries. It's so easy to use and the food always comes out perfectly cooked. I love that it has two separate baskets, so I can cook two different foods at the same time. This is perfect for busy weeknights when I don't have time to cook two separate meals. I can just throw everything in the air fryer and let it do its work. This is also very easy to clean. The baskets and crisper plates are all dishwasher safe, so cleanup is a breeze. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my air fryer. It's a versatile and convenient kitchen appliance that makes cooking easy and enjoyable. I also bought this to replace my six year old air fryer (that was also a Ninja) so I am confident that this will last me many years as well.

Best air fryer I have used. When cooking in only one basket the time for the food to finish is quicker and that takes getting use to the time difference when using both baskets vs. only basket one but it works great so far, no problems. Easy enough to clean. I was able to fit 3lbs of frozen chicken wings divided up into both baskets which is more than most air fryers. The baskets size for me is difficult to find a whole chicken to fit in but I think it may be where I live the chickens are just too big. If you want to cook a part of a dish for 1-4 people this will work great. If you want to cook every part of your meal for a family of 4, honestly, that will be difficult at once, unless you really watch portions than maybe. However, a family of 2 people this thing is amazing. It takes time getting use to using one basket vs two and getting the timing down for every food you cook but once you do, it cooks great, so easy and worth buying.

I’m so glad this item exists!! It has two 5qt chambers that have so much space inside. It give you so many cooking options and allows you to cook each side as if they were separate or you can choose to match them and cook on the same setting with the same cook time. It has been so convenient and such an energy saver so I don’t have to waste electricity heating up my oven to cook something small. Best part is the food is cooked quickly, without oil unless you want to spray some, and comes out crispy (when using air fryer mode as desired)! This is a purchase I have not regretted at all. Note: to keep it as clean as possible I did purchase some silicone inserts which have still allowed the food to come out as desired. Also, it’s large (which is fine by me) so rather than having to take it out or put it away, it has earned a permanent place on our counter since we use it so much for so many different foods! Enjoy! And try to buy it when a deal is going on if you can! PS. My pictures show it brand new on our counter but that was 2 or more months ago! It’s bigger than it looks and takes up a decent amount of space but it’s worth it.

I find the Ninja-Foodi 6-in-one 10 qt. XL 2-basket DuelZone to be one of the most helpful smart cooking devices I have ever bought. It supplements or replaces cooktop and oven use for most veggies and meats I cook. It saves my time and my energy both of which I highly value. It surprises me with each use as the food has a better flavor while preserving the vitamins and minerals of the foods. I use the cooking guide that came with the unit all the time. It is the first air-fryer etc that I have ever owned. I wash it by hand most of the time unless I am really tired. Then, I add it to the dishwasher. I find it incredibly easy to use.

This air fryer has saved me so much time in the kitchen! The quality is great! It air fries my food just the way I like it and has various features. The size is also perfect and you can cook more than one food at a time. I love it!

It is SO user friendly! We made halibut tacos and fried potatoes for my very first air frying venture and it was a huge success! The dual sides make it so easy to have everything finished at the same time! Both compartments have plenty of room! Glad I listened to reviews and went with this one!

There are a few constants every fall: pumpkin spice, football, and a new batch of kitchen gadgets and gizmos from Ninja. Over the last week, I have been testing out the Ninja Foodi Smart XL 2-Basket Air Fryer (DZ550). The device is basically two air fryers in one. The Smart Cook System helps ensure food items cook the same in both trays or that each tray finishes cooking at the same time. Over the last week, I have air fried frozen fish fillets, French fries, and chicken strips. I have roasted a chicken, made pork chops, and baked mini calzones. Cleanup could be simpler, but the food I have made has come out well. If you are in the market for an air fryer, I think the Ninja Foodi is a solid pick. Setup: In the box, you get the Main Unit, the probe, nonstick crisper plates, and two nonstick baskets. If you are concerned with countertop space, the air fryer is about 15.5 inches wide, by 13 inches tall, with a depth of around 14 inches. There are small tabs on the back near the exhaust fans to keep the unit from resting completely against your wall or backsplash. Experience: I started off simple: frozen fries and chicken strips. And they worked well. It was nice to be able to cook both at the same time and with smart finish, they finished cooking at the same time. Many frozen items now come with air fryer instructions, and I found those instructions worked well. I cooked battered fish fillets, and they came out perfect. They cooked quicker than a conventional oven and they cooked better. After the simple stuff, I decided to try my hand at some of the recipes included with the instructions. I roasted a 4lb chicken and the skin was super crispy while the meat was nice and juicy. This was also where I encountered a small glitch. I made the chicken with roasted potatoes. The dishes were supposed to finish at the same time, but the potatoes were done well before the chicken. I really enjoyed the chicken, but I was limited to a 4lb bird because anything much bigger probably wouldn’t have fit inside the basket. Next, I made pork chops with butter squash and green bean medley. Both the chicken and the pork chops used the smart probe to get the meat to my desired doneness and both times, the probe worked well. Cooking the pork chops to medium well worked perfectly. The pork chops were juicy and tasted great. The squash and green beans were bland. But I guess not all the recipes can be winners and that was clearly more of a recipe gripe than a problem with the air fryer. Using the bake function, I made small calzone pepperoni pockets. They baked up well. I guess my biggest problem with the unit is cleanup. The crisper plates and the baskets are supposedly dishwasher safe, but Ninja will tell you that “to extend the life of your basket, we recommend hand washing them.” I really enjoyed the pork chops, but I could make them just as easily in the oven and my baking trays are dishwasher safe. So, there’s a balancing act, do I enjoy making a dish enough with the Foodi that I am willing to deal with the cleanup. For a few items, that’s an easy yes, but for others, I will probably stick with the oven. Conclusion: I have enjoyed the air fryer over this last week. I’ve eaten well. The roasted chicken was very impressive. The pizza pockets baked well. The smart probe worked well and helped my pork chops cook to the perfect temperature. I see myself using this air fryer mostly for fish fillets, chicken strips, and fries. But I look forward to trying new recipes in the weeks and months to come. The Ninja Foodi Smart XL 2-Basket Air Fryer works well and you can makes some really good dishes with it. If you’re okay with handwashing the baskets, I think you will find a lot to love in Ninja’s latest air fryer.

Love this product! The possibilities are endless. Having two zones to cook two different things at different temps different ways is awesome. Not having to preheat an oven in this 100+ summer heat has been so nice! I haven’t tried all the features yet but so far have baked, air fried, reheated, and roasted and have loved it. Only wish there were specific recipes or a recipe book that came with it to help gauge more accurately what temps and length some things should be cooked for. So far it’s been a lot of trial and keeping an eye on the baskets. Which is fine! You have to keep tossing and moving your food around to ensure it’s evenly cooked anyways. Do yourself a favor and get some parchment liners. It makes clean up a breeze.
