So I got this blender less than 3 months ago and the base has already broken. This blender was great before then, but the fact that I have had this for such a short time and also only used it less than 20 times makes this blender not worth the value.

I’ve heard many great things about these types of blenders; to be able to make a quick shake/smoothie, not have to wash a large container and be able to drink right out of the container you blended in seems smart and convenient. The unboxing experience didn’t go so well, as I pulled the product box out of the shipping box, the bottom opened up and all the contents spilled out. Seems like the cardboard box is a bit on the thin side and the way it was folded into itself didn’t support the weight of the contents. The Foodi Power Pitcher system includes many accessories, 3 mixing containers: - Power pitcher, this is the normal large (9 cups) size blender container. This is a nicely designed container, the lid needs to be locked in place to disengage the safety mechanism before the blender can be turned on. The lid has a gasket around it that forms a nice seal and also features a pouring spout. - Power Nutri cup with spout lid: this is the container used for smootie drinks - Power Nutri Bowl with storage lid: I wouldn’t really call this a “bowl”, its more of a shorter, wider Nutri cup. It has “paddles” that you turn to move large items around as you’re blending so everything is blended In addition to the containers, included are carious blades: - “Hybrid edge” blade for the small containers - dough blade - Chopping blade. I think the chopping blade is where the “Ninja” name comes into play! It features 6 super sharp blades! Be careful cleaning this, you can easily get cut with it…ask me how I know. It also includes a cleaning brush to clean off stuck-on ingredients. After getting acquainted with all the accessories and figuring out what each does, I was ready to make a smoothie. I filled the Nutri cup with the frozen fruits I wanted, locked the Nutri cup into place and picked the “Smoothie” function and let the machine do its thing. The blender finished running, but the drink wasn’t all mixed thoroughly, it’s my fault as most of the ingredients I put in were frozen and I didn’t put in enough liquids for it to blend properly. Added more liquid, pressed the program again and voila, a nicely blended smoothie! Test #2, smoothie bowl: my wife made a smoothie bowl using the Nutri bowl cup, it came out really nice. The paddles definitely helped with the results, see the results in the attached photo! This is something she probably cannot do (at least not easily) with our current blender, a Vita-Mix. The blender has a nice, clean look to it, the program that I’m running “Smoothie” is lit up and easy to read, while the other available programs are dimmed. There’s also manual mode, if you need to control the speed yourself. I like that the blender has suction cups on the feet so it doesn’t move while it’s on. The Velcro strap on the wire is a nice feature. You don’t know how many times I run around looking for something to tie the cord with on various appliance! Compare to my current blender, a Vita-Mix, the Ninja Power Pitcher system is nice because it has pre-programmed options as well as different sized containers. The versatility alone makes it much more useful, for us anyway. I could go order smaller containers on their website, but what I would spend if more than this Ninja system. My son (12), who makes smoothies frequently, also loves this Ninja blender, the unit is lighter and the smaller container is easier for him to clean. Overall, we really like this Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher, there’s nothing I could say we don’t like about it. I wish the included recipe book had more smoothie recipes in it, but I guess it’s meant to be a sampling of recipes to demo each of the functions the blender is capable of.

At first was bummed my wife didnt want to spend the money on the vitamix, but after owning this for 6 months I no longer feel that way. Maybe the vitamix is easier to clean but i doubt it. Maybe the vitamix is easier to work with and operate, but I doubt it. Maybe the vmix has more applications but i havent discovered those/there seems nothing lacking with this blender. Did I mention its easy to clean? The whole rig is a game changer with regards to the desire to use it consistently. The smoothie setups are all excellent and functional making smoothies so much easier to integrate into daily living... Also the obvious attention to detail and quality design is impressive and makes me appreciate it and NINJA even more. At first I felt the feet that grab the counter were too sticky and difficult to use, but I got used to it and appreciate its robust contact and purchase with the counter when its working hard. It seems well built but probably wont last like a vitamix so we'll see, but at the price difference and how well this blender works i'd be hard pressed to not buy this ninja again in 3 years... It is loud but oh well....

Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher System The Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher system is the ultimate home small appliance. This is a four-in-one blender, smoothie bowl maker, food processor and dough mixer, a unit that does it all. Ninja is a known name around the house and they have done it again with their four-in-one system, smart torque, Auto IQ and the Total speed control to give you the perfect consistency and texture to whatever you decide to make. So lets get into a bit more detail about what is included in this system and how well it performed. -Whats included in the box So in the box you get 1 Base, Power Pitcher, Power Nutri-Bowl, Power Nutri-Cup, Lids, Dough Blade, Chopping Blade, Cleaning brush and your manuals. ***THE BLADE IS EXTREMELY SHARP*** BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOUR HANDELING THE BLADE. I CUT MYSELF CLEANING IT. -Auto IQ Mode and Smart Torque The Auto-IQ mode is unique blending and pausing pattern that pretty much does the work for you to give you the best consistency and texture possible for what your making and then shuts off automatically once it is done. The Auto IQ has preset features for Extraction, Smoothie, Bowl, Spread, Chop and Dough. You can use the dial to control the speed from 1 to 10. The IQ/Manual button is to toggle between the manual mode and the Auto IQ and to control the speed manually. So, my experience with the Auto IQ mode was actually pretty good. I put the ingredients in the Nutri Bowl and selected the smoothie option and let it go. The blender did its thing and the end product was an amazing smoothie. The Smart Torque system is designed for heavy food loads such as making cookie dough and we put this system to the test as well and it worked flawlessly as it was meant to do. Now if you try making dough in a regular blender, which I have never tried and probably never will, I’m assuming it probably will not go to well. The Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher System packs 1400 Peak Watts of power to chop, blend, and mix through anything. -My Opinion Ninja has yet to disappoint. I own other Ninja products and they have all worked great. The Ninja Power Pitcher system performed well in our everyday use. We made a couple of smoothies and even tired out the cookie dough blade and the Ninja did its thing. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to replace their boring old blender.

I purchased this almost 2 years ago and it's still running great. I use it for smoothies, enchilada and birria sauce, and more. I appreciate that the components are easy to clean. Once you get past the fact that it is extremely loud, as all good blenders are, you discover it does great at blending everything without leaving any chunks.

    But there is more…

Late-night television infomercials would use these classic words “but there is more….”, well, in this case, there is more….The Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher System is a unique blender/food processor/smoothie maker/dough maker in one tiny 1400 watt device that every kitchen must-have. I was skeptical since Ninja was one of those brands that I distinctly remember seeing on late-night TV with their infomercials. The product is so much more than the seedy late-night connotations that may have risen to the brand that it is today; Ninja is a house name that stands for quality. That said, how does this device hold up to the competition. My existing was a 25+-year-old blender and food processor from a brand that was synonymous with the classic American kitchen gadget. The other was my daily use smoothie maker that I use every morning to make my shakes. The Ninja Power Pitcher Systemblows both away in terms of versatility and power. It must be noted that the increased power, and increased technology in the blades do make a difference. Even automated computer-controlled options do a very good job of making a perfect blend. In the Box: The Power Pitcher System comes with a 1400 watt motor base which allows one to use the 72 ounce Power Pitcher blender (with lid), that interfaces with two different blades - one of them is a stacked blade, meant for chopping, blending and crushing, and the other being a dough blade. The box also includes a 24-ounce power Nutri cup and a 14-ounce power Nutri bowl with some tamper paddles built-in. These two smaller containers have their own blades that allow one to make smoothies, make spreads like hummus. Operation: The Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher system suggests the use of the “ Auto iQ” mode for most of your food processing needs. There are 6 modes that are available, and depending on which base is connected, certain options are unavailable to use. That said, the Auto IQ mode allows one to Extract, Smoothie, Spread, Bowl, Chop, and Dough. After the initial setup and washing of all the containers, I peeled and sliced 4 large carrots into 2-inch long pieces and put them in the Power Pitcher with the Stacked Blades. I selected the “chop” mode and hit start. Within 5 seconds, my carrots were chopped into bite-sized pieces. Since I was making a stir fry dish, I needed a finer chop. Using the pulse button, I was able to finely chop the carrots into smaller chunks. Next up was my old favorite Cabbage. Notorious for the uneven chop, I was pleasantly surprised that the Auto IQ chopped it in perfection. Yes, there were a few leaves that did not get attention, but it was far better than the older kitchen equipment I have been using in the last few decades. I tried the bowl and cup to make my morning breakfast. Loading it up with berries, milk, protein powder, and power-seeds, the Ninja Foodi in Smoothie mode, made a quick, homogeneous mixture out of the ingredients. The system will auto-pause between cycles, to let the food slide down towards the blades before running full speed. The power cup is my fav, I will need to buy more of them as one is not enough. The power bowl has this screw on tamper to help push food towards the blades. It is effective, and good to use when making hummus. The Power Pitcher comes with a dough blade. You can use it to make cookies and cakes/dough. The recipe booklet has a few options to make bread, but I wanted to make pizza and a layered fillo dough for a layered chapati (Indian bread). The pizza dough, with raw ingredients, did a pretty good job of making fresh pizza dough. I let it mix, and ball up, before pulling it out and letting it rest for 20 minutes, before rolling it out. The layered Indian bread required more finesse, including pushing down the dough towards the blades to allow the blades to act on the dough. The results were not quite what I expected, perhaps more layering, and more rolling is required in the future. The dough mode does work, and if you are looking to make bread, bagels, pizzas from scratch, this is a nice option to have. Pros: Lots of power, Auto iQ works fabulously with varying food products Sharp blades (be careful, I nicked myself and cut myself) Quiet, easy to operate. Cons: Needs more power cups and covers Base suction cups are difficult to remove at times if you need to move it. The suction cups are effective Inserting the Power Cup or Power Bowl is not that easy, requires a bit more force than the Power Pitcher, which just slides out.

This thing (I hesitate to call it a blender because it feels so much more than that) is a beast! Whole frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, blackberries and raspberries for my smoothies were pulverized in seconds! The spinach was undetectable because it was SO pureed! If you have a picky eater who won't even look at anything green, let alone eat it, then this is the blender for you! You can sneak those nasty greens right into little Carl's lunch and he'll never know! The preset menu takes all the guesswork out and the blender does exactly what it needs to get the job done. When the dial lit up to "smoothie" and I saw 62 seconds on the display, I couldn't believe that would be long enough to do the job--but it was! The blender puts itself through the paces of starting and stopping, speeding up and slowing down until the smoothie is perfect. When I pulled off the top--I was amazed! Super delicious, super smooth and super fast! The blending cup and blending bowl are very useful and I love that they are travel-friendly. I also deeply appreciate the fact that everything (except the base of course) is top rack dishwasher friendly. Easy peasy care is a must! The only issue I had with the FOODI is the level of noise it produces--it is quite a racket! I was prepared for a lot of noise considering there were two cups of frozen fruit in there, but if you have plans on making stealth milkshakes or salsa after the kiddos go to bed, this may be an issue, but it isn't enough to be a deterrent to me. I love this blender and highly recommend it!

The Ninja foodi power pitcher system is not the first Ninja product i own. i have been using a Ninja nutriBullet smoothie maker for the past 2 years and it never failed to impress. which made the decision to buy the power pitcher system a no brainer. This unit replaces a lot of kitchen appliances with its compact yet multiple accesories as it can make: - Dough mixing - food processing - extract - nut butters of all kinds made to your taste - smoothies - ice crushing - baby food the pitcher has a peak power of 1400 watts which is very sufficient and enough to make anything blend! In the box: - base - 72 oz pitcher with pitcher lid that has a pour spout - 14 oz nutri bowl with storage lid - 24 oz nutri cup with pour spout - blade for crushing or chopping - dough blade - power paddle to push thick ingredients down towards the blade which minimizes blending time - all the above except for the base is dishwasher safe - the unit has a dial for speed control, or you can use the IQ for automatic torque option which was the best for my choice. pros: - very good price - versatile mixer/ blender/ food processor which saves space in the kitchen and in storage. we kept it on the kitchen counter as we will be using it every day - powerful blender and nothing made it stop - easy to clean - nutri cups work with other Ninja blenders. Cons NONE.

I recieved this item in return for honest and unbiased review. I must say this blender makes my favorite milkshakes and fruit smoothies with ease. Cleaning is easy since everything but the base motor is dishwasher safe. I recieved this in stainless steel finish and it matches my stainless appliances perfectly. The suction cup basefeet are a nice added bonus, they keep the blender from vibrating across the counter top. The easy poor lid on the larger bender pitcher is really nice. Ive yet to try making any type of dough, but I'm willing to bet this will make it with ease. So far this has been the nicest blender I've ever owned. The smaller personal smoothie or milkshake cup is great. It even has a built in flil top lid for easy drinking.
