The NES Classic is a wonderful, compact and portable piece of hardware that's easy to setup and bring anywhere. All you need is a power source and an HDMI input and you are good to go. The system offers a wide range of titles for all sorts of people. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, Castlevania and Megaman are all present and staples of the 8-bit era. If you can find one, you have to pick one up!

Well I'll start by saying I bought both this and the super NES classic. As far as games this just brought me right back to being a kid and I can't play this enough. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is 1, it comes with only 1 controller where the super NES classic comes with two. And second, the cord length on the controller is way... way too short. So definitely invest in the extended cords for the $10. Or a positive if, like me, you bought both, then the controllers are interchangeable between systems and the super NES classic controller cords are a bit longer, plus you get two controllers with the SNES.

This is fun! There are a variety of games to play and it hooks up to my TV easily. The controller is a little on the small side and I wish the cables were longer, but overall, it's a solid little system that will provide hours of fun and frustration - because these games are from the good old days when you had limited lives. FYI - The hacks still work in these versions of the games.

Love it. It brings back all the memories. It has all the once popular games. Highly recommended if you had the original NES. Exactly the same but pocket size.

Awesome. How can you go wrong with this. How fun is this. I still have the original Nintendo. This basically fits in the palm of your hand and looks like the original. Only think I dont like is the cords are very short. Maybe 3 feet long and does not work for me. So used to everything being Bluetooth now and having a range. Thats the only draw back for me. Other than that its great.

I give it 4 stars just like the SNES Classic, but for different reasons. The game selection is better than the SNES Classic, but the replay value may not be as great (the original SNES > the original NES). The controller cord was way too short and it only came with one (but I did buy extenders and you can use a SNES Classic controller in this unit). This system, though, is great for kids (and adults who grew up with it) for parties, holidays, or get-togethers, and as said before, the game selection for this unit was great to showcase how much of a game-changer the NES really was.

Overall love this product and it brings back memories of playing the original Nintendo as a kid and get to share that experience with my children as well. While I wish there had been a better game selection there is enough there to keep you busy and the save feature is really nice as I don't have the same time and patience as when I was growing up to grind through. Biggest complain is the cord for the controllers is too short and wish they would have included a 2nd controller. I know there are wireless options from 3rd parties you can get, but haven't bitten the bullet yet on that.

Most of the games are real good. Our family plays it every day and the younger kids love all the classic games like punch out and the Mario series. Quality is real good too and the save feature is awesome. You can save in any spot, and each game has 4 slots. My only complaint is the length of cords. Not good for us older parents to have to crawl on the floor to play with the kids, you have to buy a cordless controller or one that has a long cord. It only comes with 1. If you have some of the Wii classic controllers they work. Over all it's worth the price of you can find one. Don't over pay.

The system works great, just what you would expect 20 + years later. The games are exactly as I remembered. Of course it would nice to have an unlimited selection of games (they are all preloaded on the system), but the selection is wide and will provide hours of fun. I would STRONGLY suggest buying extenders for the game controllers, other than that I have no other criticism.

This thing is awesome. Not only am I loving playing all these classic games from my childhood, but my kids also are loving playing on it. The size makes it extremely portable. Nintendo could've tried to get top dollar for these, but they left them at very affordable price points. I just wish they included two controllers, since it is impossible to find official Nintendo ones.

you get it... Mario.... Okay well if you don't go buy this and play some of the most nostalgia inducing games of all time. Brings back my hours of sitting playing on my parents original system. Even though I still have an original console, this elevates the strain on those old circuits and has 30 games inside of it already. Saves on blowing into your games and console as well.

Been waiting a long time for this console and was able to grab one on the first day released.....just barely as they sold out quickly. Graphics are just like you remember them. System works great and is easy to use. Only complaint is extremely short corded controller. My kids and I are having a blast playing the classics from my youth! Thank you Nintendo, better late than never.

Wow. My fiance and I couldn't wait to get this. We had been looking for a very long time. Games are great and exactly what I remembered. We have had a blast playing our favorites and a few we never played before. Bottom line is if you want to play the classics again then buy this. You'll be happy you did. Make sure you buy the controller extension wires.

This came loaded with all the original games you could get on the Nintendo NES. The controller has a very short cord, but the NES is so small you can sit it right in your lap.

Normally, NES games, if downloaded on the Wii or 3DS, cost $5 apiece, but this entire system with 30 games is only $60 total, which is a pretty good deal. The emulation is high quality, so if you like these kinds of old school games, you'll enjoy them here. The main issue is the short controller cable and the fact that you have to press the Reset button on the system to get back to the menu. It makes things cumbersome. Also, I really wish they had put an extra controller in the box because finding an extra on your own is challenging if you want the official one.

The Nintendo NES Classic is a fantastic gaming system. It brings back all the retro games you love and allows 2 player. It's fantastic, simple and priced perfect. EXCEPT - Nintendo messed up, they didn't produce enough, they didn't take enough pre-orders AND then they pulled it too early while people were still having trouble getting one. Nintendo obviously has no idea what their consumers want.

I remember getting the nes for Christmas when I was a kid and was so excited! I was finally able to nab one of these this time around and think it’s definitely cool for the price to relive some of the old school games. But... it’s not without fault, I’m sure it’s been said a thousand times but I’ll say it also, the controller cord is stupid short. That can be remedied with aftermarket extension cables. The game library is good I say a firm B but not an A+. It’s definitely a novelty item, something I’ll play on occasions but not regularly. Overall a good value for what you pay.

The NES classic is amazing overall, with a great set of nostalgic games that I have throughly enjoyed and the added ability of saving progress for several games that originally required being beaten in one sitting. Two small nits include the controller length being extremely short (you have to get an extender), and no ability to reset the system from the controller.

I bought this for my kids and they loved it! And bait only the kids but the whole family. It includes many so many great games. It is very easy to instal. The thing I love the most about this game console is that I do not have to be looking for lost or damaged game boxes. I recommend it for people of all ages!
