This is an excellent item to pick up if you can find it. Lots of great classic NES games to play through. Only down side is the short controller cord but an extension cable easily takes care of that. If your a fan of classic Nintendo games then this is well worth the purchase.

Here we are on round 2 of the Nintendo NES classic release. I can only guess/theorize as to why to Nintendo decided to use the ridiculously too short 3 foot cord, as they did during the initial run last year. I mean, I get the whole, "retro" sit close to the console "thing" like back in the day - however in the age of "50 plus" inch TVs, I don't want to go blind at the same time. At least double the length of the cords, or throw in an extension cable for those of use that don't want to be 3 feet from our televisions. It's a cheap fix, to buy an extension cable from Best Buy or some place else, but it comes off feeling poorly thought out and "cheap" - giving your customer's the raw end of the deal. Additionally, this item only comes with 1 controller. What the deal with including a single controller? - just like with my observations about the cord length, would it really kill Nintendo to throw in a second controller? It seems like Nintendo learned from these observations, because the follow up SNES classic console edition release, not only included a second additional controller, but also added some additional cord length to them as well (adding a little more to the over all cost, but well worth it). At times, getting a second controller can be really hard due to the high demand for these things right now. A word of advice to Nintendo - why not do the same thing for this "re-release" and any future releases as well? (Even if it costs a little more)

I’ve been wanting to get one. Finally after waiting a year or so, I was able to get one. Games are awesome, brought me back to my old Nintendo system as a kid. Controller cord was a little short but extensions were easy to find. Great system overalll

Where do I begin? This is the coolest little gaming system I've ever seen. It has pre-installed games, no need to use any cartridge. Only downfall is it comes with a short corded controller. Wish It had two, but they have to make their money somehow.

All these games in the palm of your hand! I can't believe I was able to finally get one! This system is great and if you loved the games as a kid, you will love it more now. They look great! My only complaint and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the short control cables. Why would you make something that short? You have to sit right next to the tv. I need to find the wireless controllers

More games than anticipated! Brings back many childhood memories. Only drawback is the length of the controller cords needs to be about 4 foot longer so you’re not sitting right on top of your tv.

I was so happy to finally get my hands on this system. It's a great gift for the kids and brings back lots of memories for me as well. Combine that with 30 games already loaded to the game and we have a winner. If you can get a hold of this system I highly recommend you purchase one.

The quality of this is way better than the knock offs and it has HDMI. The controllers are a bit short, but definitely buy yourself a wireless controller. The games really are good and will bring back nostalgia. You wont regret the purchase.

Ok, I was happy to get my hands on this little device. I love playing i on my big screen tv...BUT...you will want to get an extension for the controller AND another controller (as well as another extension :)). Nintendo dropped the ball on the length of the cable for the controller, you have to be sitting right next to the device to play. Other than that - it's nice to play all 30 retro games!

It was worth the wait. Only downside-it comes with one controller, that unfortunately has a short cord. But 3rd party wireless controllers are available. It is a great console mainly because of the nostalgia attached. Overall very fun and lots of game options built in.

So cool for anyone that ever owned the NES back in the day. My kids love playing it too, as these are some of the best NES games that were released. Super portable too. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with 2 controllers, & it's nearly impossible to find one.

The NES Classic mini system is a must have! It's preloaded with a variety of classic games that helped form a generation of gamers! The nostalgia level is high with this little system! The price is good and it's definitely fun! Recommended!

It's a classic throw back to the gaming for the 80's and early 90's generation. It does have 30 games and one controller. Though I must say the only reason I didn't give it all Five stars was because the cord on the controller is so short. Even the original's was probably longer than this. All in all it's still a good console if you don't mind being close to the tv as when you were a child.

We purchased this Nintendo for my son, which is Autistic and he could possible learn and enjoy playing video games. The Nintendo system is small and compact, with a lot of games installed. My son enjoys the Star fox video game. Great gift!!

The classic NES is, in one word, great. It brings back memories of my very young childhood. It has all the greats. My only mwish would be to be able to add more games. An added perk is that because not it's size, it's easy to transport.

I bought 3 of these as gifts. I can't wait to see them enjoy the games we use to play, like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. I know they'll get a lot of use out of this. I also bought a extension cable to go with as the one included is very short.

My husband and I had a blast showing off our best moves. We were shocked by the size (it’s so cute). Nintendo didn’t update any graphics. Another surprise was that it comes with only one controller with very short cords. We had to sit right in front of our tv. It is fun and will definitely bring back your childhood, but if you intend to play often, you might need to look into accessories.

If you grew up with Nintendo in the 80’s and 90’s then it’s a real nostalgia trip. All the best games you remember are included, e.g., Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc. Just plug into your TV and it’s ready to go. No internet or update required.

Great console, as soon as you grab the box you want to put it in a shelf for collection, the NES is very small but the controls are regular size so you can take the sistem everywhere and the great game selection bring some memories back!

Great system. Brings me back. Sucks this was in high demand but limited product.
