Now I didn't grow up with the Nintendo. It was on it's way out to the newest "super nintendo" when I was a kid, but I do remember playing with my brother some of the Nintendo games. Mario obviously being the most popular. But revisiting all of these older games has been pure joy. Yes it could include more to make it more complete, but I am very happy with what is included. And I must say, WOW I did not remember how hard and challenging Nintendo games were. Makes playing today's games on Xbox and PlayStation completely different as an experience. The one con, as others mentioned, is the WAY TOO SHORT controller cords. Come on can I atleast get 10 feet? Good news is there are solutions to this problem, whether you go the extender cable route, or buy wireless controllers. Overall awesome!

All the joy of the original NES with the ability to use on modern TVs with HDMI! All the classics pre installed. The only downfall are the short cords on the controllers... Extension cables or wireless controllers are a must.

This console is reminiscent of the early days of gaming. It's got all the classics and is fun and easy to use. It's great to sit back and play all the games again in pixel perfect mode. Note: the controller cord lengths are short! So be prepared for it.

The NES Classic is a great throwback to the era of 8bit, It has a great selection of classic games that each define the lifetime of the console. Even though the game selection is great the cord of the given controller is way too short. Seeing as how my only gripe with the Classic is the controller cord I would highly recommend it for any fan of classic games.

Everything it says it is retro for sure you can’t add any games but so far for the price you definitely get a lot of fun wish the cord was a bit longer but i got a wireless controller and it came with an additional 10 ft cord

So glad Nintendo released this back out again. Such a good value for old classic games. Only down side is the controller cord is really short, need to play close to the TV or buy an additional extension cord for the controller.

The idea of having all these games already installed is wonderful. However, the cable connecting the controller is way too short. Had to buy those separately. I mean, TVs have grown in 25 years and cables shrink? It makes no sense. The controller also doesn't function 100 percent accurately either. Maybe it always acted up or gaming has gotten so better.

This is too much fun! I missed the original release and waited and watched this like a hawk afraid I'd miss it again. Missed the first wave but was able to pick it up when it came back in stock. It's so tiny and cute, seriously it's smaller than an Xbox controller. Getting to play old favorites like Super Mario Bros 1, 2 & 3 and Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr plus games I never had all in one compact unit is a real joy! Game play is smooth and responsive especially if you have the option for Game Mode on your tv. I recommend the system and also getting a wireless controller or longer cord because the only complaint I personally have is the ridiculously short controller cord. Overall though a great deal of fun and a trip back to the 80s that brings back so many fond memories.

packed with 30 games, and if you can hack it get even more. These classics will not longer just be embedded in your childhood memories, they will continue to live on! Apart from the ridiculously short cables Nintendo decided to produce for there controllers. The NES is a must have for any gamer that grew up with the system during the great late 80's and 90's. If you can find one, get one.

Just happen to snag one of these on release day, great to have only down side is the controller length but also got the extenders but lots of games and great entertainment, to rub in your friends face because they don’t have one.

What a great way to burn time with fun games. All the levels of the best nes games! The controller is short so get an extra wireless or the extenders. It only comes with one controller FYI. Still a great deal and ton of fun!

I love the nes, but to have a mini version preloaded with some very solid titles is awesome. I don't have to worry about a console with a dirty pin connector or an dirty game tabs. The biggest downer though is the control length. Why is it so short?

Has the best games of all re-makes. We also bought the SNES WHICH IS GOOD BUT THE NES GAMES ARE BETTER.. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING IS THE CONTROLLER CORD IS WAY TO SHORT ITS A QUARTER LENGTH OF THE SNES CONTROLLER CORD...

So this was xactly what I was expecting it to be. Right out of the box, the console is cute. Almost like a toy model. Once I got it all plugged in and set up, I was back in the early 90 enjoying some classics. Like everything from that era bring brought back to the future, the fun was short lived. I found myself bored with the product and after a couple of days, back in the box it went. I am not saying it was not worth the buy, as I will someday leave it as an inheritance to my son for him to enjoy. Whatever you do, do not over pay for this little gadget. Wait for more to come out even if they say it is sold out. The other knock is the short controller cord, which was an easy fix, considering the Retro SNES controller plugs right into this mini and works just right.

This system is compact and amazing. Only complaint is the cord is way too short for the controller. This isn't 1989 when everyone had to sit up close to the TV. LOL! Get yourself an extension cable and another GOOD controller with a long cord.

I’m glad these are available again. It’s such a neat little system, and for several years they were impossible to find in stores. They really bring back memories, and I know we’ll get a lot of fun out of the games

This is a wonderful comeback Nintendo for us older fans. Love the size and how it has all the same classic games built right in. It plays just like the original. I Love it and the price was great !! Thanks Best Buy !!

Picked this up last week when it became available again. Plays all the great classic games. only real issue is the controller cord length. you MUST order a extension cable or wireless controller otherwise its only 3 ft long.
