I bought this purely for the nostalgia. Are there much better things to purchase for $59.99? Yes, obviously. But because most brand new games for any console nowadays is $59.99, I think purchasing this is no different than buying another brand new game for your Switch, etc. So if you have the disposable income and want to experience old school Nintendo nostalgia, you won't regret buying this.

NES was a great system, with pixel graphics that my daughter calls 'scratchy'. Most gamers nowadays wouldn't really have much experience with it, but older gamers would have a lot of nostalgia for those old games. That is what this new system is counting on, as it includes round 30 of the most famous games of the NES in one smartly made package. The interface is great, the additions like save states are extremely useful with the brutal difficulty some of these older games have. One major drawback is the cord size on the controllers, the other is that finding a 2nd NES controller for purchase is just about impossible.

Great nostalgic product. There are many original classics I loved on this device.

It's just like I'm a kid again. My five year old has already almost beat a bunch of games. It's so brand new to him but his father and I can remember what it was like when we were young just by hearing the music to all the old favorites. If you used to play Mario Brothers back in day like it did you have to buy this console. It fits in your hand. The controllers are exactly how I remembered them.

All the high resolution games are amazing and very easy to use. Great games selection

Having lots of fun with this. It's fun to go back and play the old games. Wish they would've hidden a reset button on the controller so you didn't have to go to the console to switch games.

I love being able to play some of the games I enjoyed as a kid again. This is a great system and a lot of fun. The only downsides are it only comes with one controller and the cord on the controller is really short. You can buy additional controllers and extensions however. I wish you could plug in the old games to it to still enjoy those but otherwise I love being able to play these games again.

Anyone who grew up playing the original NES will appreciate this. It mostly includes all of the hits from the original console. Not every game is a winner, but all the real classics you get definitely justify the $60 price, if only to turn it on for the occasional dose of nostalgia. My only real problem with the package is the cord attached to the controller is ridiculously short, but that can be remedied easily with extension cord. Also the controller can be connected to the Wii or Wii U consoles, which is a bonus for me since I own a Wii U and can utilize the classic controller for the Virtual Console games.

Nice system with a bunch of games. The only drawback is it has one controller and the cords are fairly short. I'd rather pay $10 more if they included the 2nd controller.

good for the money. Decent selection of games included. Three complaints - power cord is VERY short and only includes one controller, which the cord is also very short. Fun overall.

Great for nostalgia. Only 30 games but can add over 300 more with some research.

I love this thing!! Since I travel a lot it’s a great way to stay entertained in hotels and even when friends come over. Of course you have to buy another controller and the extension cords to go with them but it’s totally worth it for us 80’s babies. I actually had mine hacked to add more games and sometimes I feel like a kid again experiencing the frustration and joy of the original NES.

It's small and fits on the palm of your hand . It has all the old classic games . Great buy !

I grew up with Nintendo so when I saw this come out, I had to buy one. As everybody knows these are extremely hard to come by and I was lucky enough to get one. The only downside is it only comes with one controller and the cord is 3ft long. It's impossible to use and you will need to buy an extension cable to be able to play comfortably. You will also need to buy a 3rd party controller since the OEM ones are non-existent at this point unless you are willing to pay a premium. Best Buy sells an Insignia branded controller that is reasonably priced and has good reviews so will probably check it out. Fun console if you grew up with the original Nintendo.
