You know what you're getting with this system - for most of us, that's a little piece of childhood and it does a great job at that. You could build your own/download emulators and all that - but it doesn't get as simple as power + hdmi = playing. Also, the fact that it's a tiny little version of the console that I can sit next to the original is a big deal for someone who likes to collect things. The reason for 4 out of 5 stars is because of a common complaint - the controller cord is pretty short and kind of forces you to purchase the extension cord

best $60 i have ever spent. 30 games at two bucks each how do you beat that?

I think by now most of you know what this is and what it does. Opening it up and handling the NES Controller again literally transported me back in time. I was in 1989 again. And it’s great to bring back old times and has *MOST* of the games I played as a child. There are 2 classic games I feel would be good additions and would fit into the overall experience. The first is TETRIS. How is Tetris not on here? The second is the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. From a form and function standpoint, I’d love the cable for the controller to be longer.

You get what you pay for. The quality is good and the system is easy to use. Only complaints would be the short cords and limited number of games.

Overall, it a good product. a bit smaller than i originally thought it would be. The controller cords are very short, but for an all in one system, a good value.

Although some of the games show there age the package overall is excellent particularay for retro fans. Although I am certain everone can complain about games that should have been in the line up i think the collection of 30 here is a good balance. Pick this up even if your young and show respect to the console that saved gaming in North America.

Great inexpensive easy to use game that provides loads of fun.

Great for the price. I can enjoy many of the games I grew up on and it doesn’t take up much room. It hooks up to new tv unlike the original.

The size of this system is so perfect and has the best games

These things are tons of fun, even if it's for nostalgia's sake only. I still think they could have made mini functional game cartridges and basically resold their classic library in this thing if they had made it a functional front loader... It's neat that you can modify them to put different games on them but the games it includes are a really good cross section of the classic NES I grew up with! It is a shame Nintendo has discontinued this, the SNES classic, and has no plans to do any more "classic" style systems.

Great price with a great selection of games..i would recommend it. .however controller cord is very short and the graphics r low quality

I got this as a present for my brother in-law. It has a great selection of games. The worse thing about this is the laughable cord length.

Awesome little system with many games in one tiny footprint. Only downside is the short cable for the controller that comes with the system.

Love that I was able to get my hands on one of these. Not only does this have 30 preloaded NES classic games on it (Mario bros, super Mario bros 1, 2, 3, Mega man 2, Punch out, etc) but you're also able to save your progress, so no more starting all over once you run out of lives. Great purchase but I will say, not worth more than the retail price. Do NOT over pay for these!

hours of enjoyment for both kids and adults. played these games growing up as a kid and now enjoy the same games with my kids, nephews and nieces. Console only comes with 1 controller. I recommend getting a second. I also recommend getting the extension cables for the controllers or wireless controllers as the standard controller cables aren’t very long

I finally got one, and I love it! I'm not planning to sell it. It's nice and small and feels like the real thing. The only complaint I have about it is the short wires. I thought Nintendo would extend the wires on the controller with this seconds batch. Also, it only comes with one controller, and if you want to buy an extra one, they are all sold out. Luckily I have an 8bitdo controller, so I ordered a Bluetooth receiver, and it works well. Yes, I have a raspberry pi, but it doesn't feel the same and as unique as this nifty little console.

Worth the wait! Very slim and small. Definitely fun for hours.

I finally have this, and for the original price! This is a great buy for all the retro gamers out there. I had nearly all of these games when I was younger and to have them back and ready for the newer TV models is amazing. The save game feature is great for those really tough games that the NES was notorious for. I definitely recommend this.
