This console is awesome and reminds me of why I first got into video games. The game selection is decent, but is missing a few key titles. Apart from that, the only issue I have with this machine is the controllers. I simply can’t figure out why Nintendo would put a 3’ cord on a controller. This decision makes no sense and is especially frustrating when you consider that all video game controls these days are wireless with great range. Apart from this oversight, Nintendo put out a nice piece of retro hardware.

Pretty decent emulation with an ok set of games that are missing a few classics like Master Blaster, Metal Storm, Journey to Silius, etc. Instead we get the usual Nintendo games which are great and a bunch of arcade ports that quite frankly shoudn't have been here as they are not what made the NES what it was. At least you can mod the thing so...yeah. The only real negative is that the controller's cable are criminally short. Get it and get the extension cables or the wireless controllers.

I hate to give it 4 stars when it does deserve it. For one the cords are insane short, so you likely have to buy extensions. And 30 games, yeah great, but it is still missing some important titles. Beyond that, I cannot complain. The unit works well and has a nice user interface. and gets you to playing fun classic games again.

If you're looking for retro gaming, look no further. This is GREAT! It gets power from a standard phone charger and plugs into your TV with HDMI. Yes, the cord on the controller is REALLY short; but the only way to change games is to press the "reset" button on the console itself, so it's nice to keep it close. (I suggest getting a long HDMI to play this)

Love the compact size and the different game titles.

We can go on and on about price or that I can make an emulator to emulate every NES/SNES game in history for like $20. Who cares. This thing works. It works reliably. It plugs in and works. It has old NES games and Mario. Get it. Play it. Don't have too high expectations. If you ejojoy this, you are probably over 30.

I was excited to finally be able to purchase the NES classic because I wanted to show the kids what video games were like when we were growing up. Nintendo has done a great job in making the actual unit however the controllers could be greatly improved. The cables on the controllers are way to short so I would highly recommend purchasing the insignia extension cables. The directional pad on the controllers are also extremely sensitive but you can easily fix this (just do a youtube search for some tips)

Great price point with tons of games, if you can grab one do it!

Overall you get the games you are nostalgic about. Complaints: the wired controllers are too short so you have to sit much too close to the TV. I have a 75 inch so that is extremely uncomfortable. It also does not fill the entire screen on the TV. You are better off buying a Nintendo switch which I just found has ALL the games and you can play with a wireless controller and the full screen is used.

System is incredibly small but it has a good selection of games. The controller cord is very short so keep that in mind for setup

Love the number of games and their simplicity. Wish the controller was quicker in response time but an overall excellent value!

I had been wanting to purchase the NES Mini for some time and stock finally got replenished recently. Very happy with the purchase. Love the save feature. Game selection is adequate but there are a few high profile games missing (Contra and TMNT 2, to name a couple). Main complaint is the jokingly small controller cord, which is no more than 3 feet long. I had to buy an HDMI extender to make this work without burning out my eyes. A second controller would be nice too as these are hard to find.

I love being able to revisit the old games. Hooking up the fame only took a few minutes which was nice. My only complaint is that the cord is very short so once the game is hooked to the tv, you have to sit pretty close with the controller. Also there is an ad for duck hunt on the instructions but that game is not included.

I avoided getting this from scalpers who sell this for triple the price. When Nintendo promised that they were going to make more of the NES classics, I knew I had to get one and I enjoy playing all the old Nintendo games that I played when I was a kid. If you come across one in the store, you must get it if you're a gamer.

This was a Christmas gift for my brother. Honestly, it was meant to be funny, as he was big into his Nintendo back in the day. He was so excited when he opened it. He had been trying to purchase it himself. My kids couldn't appreciate the games & graphics, but for someone who grew up with an NES, it was a big hit!

This is awesome to have again. The only thing is it seems like the characters run a lot faster than they did 30 years ago! This just makes it harder to control the game, and it's not because I'm old. I tested this theory one someone younger who also played the original Nintendo and they said the same thing. It's almost like the tracking speed of a mouse pointer is on high. I'm glad to have this again, but I wish it was easier to control. Also the short cords for the controller make no sense, at all.

Although it comes with just one short controller, the game play's look and feel is exactly as I remember. Perfect for my 8 year old who hasn't yet mastered the the complex controls of the more intense platforms. If you can find one, grab it. If you can find a second controller, grab that also. You might also want to get the extension cables needed.

When this launched, it was one of the best ways to play NES titles. The interface, game selection, original controller and everything was perfect. It's still one of the best ways to play if want the exact feeling of playing on the NES without having one. But with the addition of the Switch Online NES Library, some of these titles could be played on that for cheaper. You don't get the feel of the NES but it does lessen the value of the NES Classic. I would still recommend it though!

Fun and loaded with games. Easy set up. Good price.
