Its great if in a pinch for an easy hand-off to family. Too bad Nintendo doesnt have great sales to take advantage of it all that much.

Instead of going to the store it just let me buy a gift card in 5 minutes. Its really worth it. And it actually worked compared to other sites.

Ive always purchased the physical versions of tge card if im out and about and in need of some of tgat eshop moolah but tgis tjme around i was in a pinch with a sale expiring so i opted to buy one throigh bestbuys site expecting the download code to show up in my email as wuick as the purchase confirmation email showed up. Not the case. It took hours before it showed up and based on the fine print youre supposed to give them somehwere between 1-2 days if memory serves me right. Not what i would expect with sometging digital bit i dont know how the process works so im not going to complain about it, just want to gove someone else a heads up not to expect tge funds rigjt away. From here on out ill be better prepared and grab a physical card when in in store instead of relying on the download code to be sent my way.

Previously, I got a $10 eShop card and it worked. Decided to get a $35 eShop card. Easy transaction and easy to use. I didn't experience any technically difficulties. They email you the code and I was able to use the code successfully on my Nintendo Switch. :-)

I can’t complain. I got the value I paid for. I had a hard time figuring out how and where to log in to get these onto my kids accounts. However, I know most people probably wouldn’t struggle with it like I did. My sons showed me an easier way to redeem after the fact.

I've been buying gift cards for Nintendo consoles for a while now, ever since the Wii era. I do this because I don't trust Nintendo (and Sony for that matter) with my credit card account details. The $10 denomination is a decent amount to buy for NY nephew who sometimes asks me to buy him Vbucks. It's also a lot safer that putting my credit card info on file and then have him go on a spending spree. Next thing I know I'm $500 porer because he was opening card packs on FIFA or something.

Ideal way to securely separate your payment method from additional online accounts. You just get the code in an email, and enter that code into the "add funds from gift card/code" page of your Nintendo eShop account. Email with code comes with a couple minutes to sn hour or two. No fuss. Very convenient. We used to have to drive to stores for this lol
