I bought this card online so I could use the code in the e-shop and get a game I wanted digitally. I didn’t have to go out to a store, and there is also the added benefit that I can take this game wherever my switch goes!
The whole digital process is smooth as silk on the Best Buy website, and is likely ideal for many during these COVID times.
I personally prefer collecting the physical cards, but especially when a local location is inaccessible or closed, buying these cards digitally, and redeeming them on the eshop, is a pretty quick and painless process. In addition, there are more digital card options (e.g. the $70 physical card does not exist), and this is a great option if you don't want to save your bank data to a console account. It's another safe step.
Purchasing this will send an email to you containing a 16 Character code that you will input on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch/Nintendo Switch Lite, Wii U, or Nintendo 3DS/New Nintendo 3DS Systems. It adds $5 to your eShop wallet. If you have the same Nintendo Account connected to multiple systems. The balance of your wallet will carry over to each so you can use it there as well. Personally, only buy this card if you are just short of purchasing that one game or DLC you really wanted.
Previously, I got a $10 eShop card and it worked.
Decided to get a $35 eShop card. Easy transaction and easy to use. I didn't experience any technically difficulties.
They email you the code and I was able to use the code successfully on my Nintendo Switch. :-)
Nintendo does not discount their first party games often, if at all. If you wish to buy them at a discount, one of the indirect ways to do it is to find one of these cards on sale, then buy the games on their eShop. You can purchase their DLCs this way also, which otherwise even more rarely go on discount.
I would recommend this to a friend

Great little Giftcard
I purchase this now on a regular basis for my son for allowance and rewards for doing well in school. He loves them. Just make sure if you purchase them in store to make sure the store activates the card . It will be a pain going back and forth with Ninetendo but Best Buy is helpful . I prefer the online e-option comes to your email and I haven’t had a problem with any of the e-mail cards. I don’t care for the I store ones due to activation issues I had prior . Lesson learned .
A:AnswerYes, go to the eshop, go to the little icon in the top right corner of the screen, click add funds, click eshop, enter code, then once all the funds are added, search Fortnite in the the search bar of the eshop, go to Fortnite, scroll down to v-bucks, but v-bucks
A:AnswerYour Eshop gift card most likely got sent the day after u purchased it, it almost always gets sent to your spam. Go check out your spam and go back to when u purchased it, You should then be able to find your codes. :)
A:Answerthe Best Buy account that makes the purchase will receive an email with the code. you can forward the code in that email to the intended recipient if you like. keep in mind the codes can be redeemed by anyone, at any time. there is no mechanism to insure only the intended recipient can redeem the code. You can redeem the code on the console or in a web browser.
A:AnswerIt functions exactly the same, except the code that would be on the physical card is just emailed to you. The downside is you don't get a physical copy of the card. But they'll email you the code, and you can just forward that to your grandson. Really quick process, and pretty painless!
