This is a great grip! This should have come standard with the console. That aside, this allows you to play on your tv if your joycons are not charged. Can plug into any standard USB wall charger or via the USB port on your switch.

This is a nice product for when you want to feel like you are playing with a full controller instead of the tiny joy-cons. Nice that you can use the joy-cons instead of buying an entirely separate controller. I like added flexibility this gives to how you can play. Good for people with larger hands. Only wish you could charge the grip while not in use so it could charge the controllers while you play.

It's definitely better than the Joycon that comes with the Switch because this one actually charges the controllers whereas the Joycon that comes with the Switch is just a plastic shell with no charging capabilities.

This handler makes it very easy to play video games that require the use of both controllers. Its ergonomics is very good as well as the materials used. It is a little over priced, to which I expect a longer lifetime for it. We’ll see, it it brakes or cracks I will update the review

It does what you would expect but this one has a USB C Port to give you a way to charge joycons when you’re playing and not in handheld mode. Not quite the ergonomic design of the joycons when they’re split apart but it’s another nice option if you don’t feel like springing for the pro controller.

When I first got my Switch I had the console with the Joy-Cons attached to it on the charging dock all night and found out that the Joy-Cons weren't fully charged. I happen to get this and charged those overnight and the next morning they were FULLY CHARGED! Definitely worth getting the charging grip.

You could live without it, but the ability to charge one extra pair joy-cons while your Switch is charging another pair is very convenient. I purchased a returned/refurbished pair and it works great. Had it for a while now.

I hate playing with just the joycon remotes sometimes. They’re so small and weird that I need the bulk in my hands if you know what I mean.

This fits very well in the hands to control a game. I was disappointed when Nintendo came out with the small joy cons, they were a little hard for me to control with my hand size. This helps me grip and press the buttons quickly without the controller slippyout of my hands.

Since I mainly play on my TV, I would have to take the joy cons out of the non charging grip (came with the bundle) and attach them to the switch (in the dock) to charge them. The battery life on the joy cons seems great, I just didn't want to detach the controllers to charge them.

I didn't think I'd need one of these because the charge on the controllers is approximately 20 hours but if you lose track of those 20 hours and you still want to play on your TV, this is best option. This should have been included in the Switch box, but it is what it is. Recommended for sure!

Nintendo should have sent this with the system in the first place. This will make the joycons last much longer since you dont have to keep removing them from the switch then removing them from the original grip to out back on the switch to charge them.

Definitely a must-have for all Switch owners. It turns the joy-con into a hand-held controller to the likes of a GameCube throw-back, making it easier to use in my opinion. One comes with the system and we purchased ours for the second joy-con we bought separately.

I just picked a switch up the other day and say that it did indeed come with one of these, except there's no charge port on it, so I picked two of these up and they have been great, they're comfortable and makes playing some games a lot easier, plus you can charge your joy cons.

As with other console controllers, this product allows you to continue playing your games while also charging your controller at the same time. It’s very easy to use, convenient to have, and makes the gaming experience far more comfortable overall.

The Switch Charge Grip allows charging of the joycon controllers. A little pricey but worth it.

Got this along with another set of Joycons in order to ve able to charge both pairs at once, When games like Mario Kart and other big time 4 player ganes come out i could see myself using it mich more but you wont need one unless you intend to do that as the joy cons have very good battery life themselfs and charge when connected to the switch.

The Joy-Con Charging Grip works as intended, but it essentially the same thing as the non charging grip that came with the Switch console and I feel like Nintendo should of included this with it. Regardless if you play a lot on TV I would recommend buying the Pro controller over this. This is a good option if you don't have the pro controller and you play with the Joy-Cons to keep your controller charged while you play.
