I prefer this grip over the one that comes with the video game console, since it charges the joy cons while you're using them.

I purchased because I wanted an official grip. The charging aspect is good but the controllers last for 20 hours so charging is hardly an issue.

Grip helps with charging. Joy-Con connect easily and makes play easier.

I am able to play while charging, not to mention, I can charge an extra controller at the same time while my Switch charges itself and another.

A must have for someone who regularly uses the joy con controllers. Its much more convenient to do all your charging in one place instead of having to run back and forth to connect them to the console everytime you need to charge.

This device works well. Not sure why it's not standard with the console. But a must have especially if you bought more joy cons

Makes gaming with the joycons so much easier and more fun

Build quality is excellent and it works exactly as advertised, connect a cable to this from your base station and you can play while your joy cons charge. The only hiccup for me is that I have not used it once. I don’t have a cable long enough to stretch to my couch. Also, I’ve got a charging stand that keeps four joy cons charged at all times. Whenever one set gets low, I just swap them out. As a result, I find that I just don’t need this particular accessory.

Same functionality as the grip that comes with the switch, but with the capacity to hook up a usb and charge.

There is one big difference between this one and the factory supplied one. This one let's you charge while connected which is a huge plus.

It works for it's intended purpose. You can play switch games undocked and charge the joycons while doing so with this grip.
