This Joy-con grip is life changing. The standard grip doesn't allow you to charge the Joy-cons while you play. Instead of waiting, pop those bad boys in this grip and you're off to play! Definitely a good investment.

Use it to keep controllers charged. Works for that.

The charging grip should be the standard grip. Nintendo has no reason to even *sell* what is currently the standard grip. It's a useless hunk of plastic compared to the charging grip.

Im glad I bought the controller /charger it doubles.

Need this grip for games that require prolonged game play or story modes, other controllers are available but cheapest way for you to grip the remotes for different gameplay such as Zelda or Super Smash

I bought this for a friend as a gift. They have a hard time remembering to charge their Joy-Cons, and always have them dying mid-way through a match. Having this on hand really helps.

While I understand that having a battery inside the grip that serves to recharge the joy-cons as you play would make this product more costly, it would be nice if the charge grip was more than just a grip with a usb-c port. That being said, this is a useful product for a secondary set of joy-cons that serve as an additional controller.

Unlike the Joy-con grip included with the system, this one has a "slot" to keep it charging/plugged in as you play- potentially letting you play nonstop instead of needing to stop every once and awhile to charge joy-cons

The JoyCon Charging grip works well, is comfortable to use and lets you play on the TV while still charging your JoyCons. This should have been included with the Switch, not a non charging version. If you can find one, wait for the Pro Controller. For shame Nintendo....

Holds the JoyCons very stable, Feels comfortable enough, though a Pro Controller is still better. Comes with an extra charge cable, so that balances the price IMO.

...this should have been included with the Switch itself. Other than that, this is a very satisfying controller once you dock the Joy-Cons to it. Feels good in the hands with just the right amount of heft and places all the buttons and thumbsticks in optimal locations. The only thing better is the Pro-Controller, but not by much.

Works great, we needed a second one so we could play multiplayer games. Wish prices would come down, but I guess it's worth the money to have the family together playing the games.
