Although I didn't think one of these would be necessary, I was wrong. I wish this had been in the box with the Switch but it isn't. For long term use in the dock, this has proven extremely handy! Works as advertised.

Similar to the JoyCon grip that comes with the switch, except you can plug an included USB Type-C cable in to charge it. Honestly, this should have been what came with the Switch- the base grip is pretty useless.

Tried different grip and they all failed to support joycon with plastic rail lock. It will break in a month or two and you need to get this Nintendo product for good durability.

Charge and play you joy cons. Works, but over priced

The fact that this joycon has a charger is incredibly convenient. I would suggest purchasing this one over your normal one. One thing- it is transparent. If you care about that, you have been warned.

Convenient to have around to charge while you play

A must-have. All the controller holders should be replaced with this. The stock one that comes with the system has no charging port so I'll have one of these for all of mine, eventually.

The Joy-Con Charging Grip is a worthless purchase. The Nintendo Switch includes a Joy-Con Grip. That does the job. You wouldn't need to charge the Joy-Cons if you just attach them back to the system while there docked after every use. Save your money on this item. If you really want something for your Nintendo Switch you should purchase a Pro controller. This is what should have been included with the Switch. The Joy-Con Charging Grip Is not worth the purchase.

If you have an extra set of Joycons, this product is NOT a necessity. For those of you who only have one set, then I suppose being able to charge while playing works. It's just hte Joycon grip that comes with the Switch with additional charging functionality.

If you don't like playing with a single joy cons this game brings the experience. Although it's not the same as the pro controller but it definitely does it job well. Highly recommend it!

This is better than the one that comes with my switch because it can be plugged in with USB -C and charge your joycon. Happy with the purchase.

I wish Nintendo included this with the console. I like the ability to charge my controllers without having to play in portable mode. You can use a portable charger and not be plugged directly to the dock.

If you play for long hour, you Need this to charge the joycon while playing. If you Dont play long hour, you dont need this. Good quality. I recommend

If you bought the extra Joy-Cons for big time game play, the Nintendo Joy-Con Charging Grip is a must have to keep you gaming while you charge your Joy-Cons!

When you're playing multiplayer, this is essential to give your friends so that can keep playing. Or keep it for yourself and tell them how weird it is their controllers keep dying.

The charging function is great but it causes some controller lag. Probably not a good choice for use consistently as a daily grip outside of quick charging. Still worth the buy if you're looking for a solution when using multiple joycons

Same exact one that comes with the system except it charges the joy cons. Seems unnecessary since joy cons last over 20 hours and can simple charge them when u charge ur system (3-5 hours). Only worth it if your charging a second pair of joy cons.

I often use my switch with my TV, with this I don't have to remember to disconnect the controllers and connect them to the console when the battery is low.

I just don't use it because of the pro controller and I never use this product for the charging capabilities. Maybe if have another set of joy cons this could be more useful. Not necessary on launch
